    You’re assuming other teams wanted Kirk though? I was saying that whole offseason that Kirk was the guy to trade since his value was probably at an all-time high. Maybe there wasn’t actually much interest. Maybe the FO was high on Kirk. Who knows. They needed to move 1 of the catchers though.

    It’s gotta just be the brain. We all know Vlad has the ability, and as a 16 year old he had ungodly talent for his age bit it seems he hasn’t learned anything about hitting since then. Like he’s mentally still a teenager, he doesn’t understand at all what the pitchers are trying to do to him, he hasn’t grown at all. He’s just a see ball hit ball guy, not an elite hitter like Alvarez or Soto

    Agreed. People are concerned after 6 games because the offense looks the exact same as it did for 164 games last year. Happy with a 3-3 record but still concerned about the offense. I don't wanna see all the gaslighting with the "it's still early" and "the numbers will come around" excuses again.

    If they don't make a big splash next year while holding onto both Bo/Vlad, I really don't know what to say. I for sure thought they would sign someone like Bellinger this year but they didn't. Feels like we're wasting a very solid roster by patching the holes with glove-first guys like KK and IKF.

    Will be interesting to see if THIS is finally the year they move him. How does IKF grade out at SS?

    He’s gonna sign with some team like the Giants or Cubs or something and become an immediate powerhouse

    I think 2022 really skewed people’s perception of him. Idk what happened that year but he was awful. Other than that he’s been a rock solid 2-3 starter and a lock for 30 starts a year.
