    I have ZERO confidence in this current team coming back from even a 3-0 deficit. In hindsight, getting rid of both Teo and Lourdes in the same offseason was probably a bad idea. Those two always seemed to be in the middle of those huge comeback games.

    Just imagine if Hill and Lind had repeated their 2009 seasons in 2010 though. That's a VERY solid offense with a big young guy in Travis Snider coming up too. f***ing frustrating that all our big prospects have fizzled out over the last decade or so, and we can never get a handful of guys all clicking at the same time. . Just imagine that core of Wells, Lind, Hill and Snider, all hitting like they should, plus a found gem in Bautista. Thats the Redsox every couple years.

    Yeah that’s fair, which is why I think we should probably just move on from both Bo and Vlad next year. I wouldn’t sign either guy long-term.

    Really gotta wonder if all of our guys are playing through injuries they shouldn’t be. Remember the Springer saga in 2021? Dude was playing with a damn knee brace at times

    Idk why we’re adding Bo here. He’s off to a slow start but its no different than his 2022 season. Bo at least has a track record of consistency over the course of a season

    Take Bryant off the list he was good for longer than I thought

    Not really?? They all have more WAR because they actually play good D. But all the guys on that list had 1 or 2 elite seasons with the bat and a bunch of OK years, and more recently forgot how to hit altogether. Pretty similar to Vlad

    It’s happening to quite a few guys recently though, so not entirely unheard of. Bellinger and Bryant are 2 big ones. Both MVPs and then fell off a cliff. Bellinger looks to have rebounded a bit but the jury is still out. Some others off the top of my head… Matt Chapman? Javier Baez? Jason Heyward? Its not exactly uncommon

    Yeah. They seemed primed and ready to go on a tear after 2021. Like the Orioles looked in 2022. Orioles continuing an upwards trajectory while the Jays are trending down. f***in sad man

    100% agree. IDGAF about the names on the team, I want a winner. And this core seems rotten so throw it away.

    Im not really sure if a winning record matters for the President/CEO though?? You’d want a GM with a winning record or history of winning for sure

    59k salary for an analyst with the Jays is probably generous. A few years back my buddy had a co-op/internship interview for the Jays FO and the pay they were offering was $12 an hour vs all the other tech/bank positions that were offering $20 an hour. Now that’s just an intern sure, but I can’t imagine any starting analysts with the Jays making over 50k. Any arts/passion career pays awful.

    Can you explain your stance on this? By all accounts, Shapiro seems like an awesome dude. And the upgrades to the dome and Florida facilities are the best we’ve seen for this org.
