  1. Best “the future looks bright” moment for me was that final series against Baltimore in 2021. Swept the f*** out of them, smashing homers, offense looking absolutely elite, and through sheer dumb ******** we managed to miss the playoffs by 1 game. What a nutshot that was, but at least we had the “wow these guys are going to continue to develop into stars” excuse. Now we have…. Nothing to be excited about
  2. He won’t lol
  3. Maybe. He still had a few good years in him though
  4. Yeah I don't think anyone here is debating what the best course of direction is. We are just discussing what we think is the realistic scenario of what will happen
  5. That's too steep. I could see Kikuchi for one of those guys but not both
  6. Kikuchi + RP for Gavin Lux
  7. Flaherty was dogwater last year though, and for a season or two prior. Kikuchi is better than Flaherty when he was traded. Remains to be seen how teams will value a guy like Kikuchi as a lefty with great K numbers that could also be pushed to the bullpen if needed.
  8. Only up by 2 runs too IIRC. The IBB brought the game within 1. Balls of steel from Showalter there
  9. Would never ever happen in the MLB
  10. Right. I would expect our trades to look something more along the lines of Kikuchi for Anthony Kay.
  11. Im not really sure where you’re getting this from, Jansen seems like a good dude
  12. Entirely possible we wait things out, let Vlad test the waters in free agency, then just match whatever the highest offer is. Or exceed it slightly. Like Judge and the Yankees
  13. Didn’t even make the playoffs. Not nearly as good as the 2023/24 Os.
  14. Lol ain’t this twice this weekend you jinxed our starters
  15. Frustrating that this Bo/Vlad core has never had a team that looks as strong as the 2023-24 Os. I hate this sport sometimes
  16. Don’t forget, Aaron Judge was extremely close to leaving the Yankees. I don’t think its a certainty at all that Soto stays.
  17. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the Mets and Dodgers go hard after Soto too
  18. He’s also supposed to be in his prime and helping us compete. Just a terrible scenario for both Bo and the team this year
  19. Not really their fault with Bo here
  20. Im glad that’s been put to bed, I don’t think he would’ve/should’ve been traded anyways with his numbers looking like they do
  21. Always great to see more Canadians being drafted. Hope these guys can go all the way and at least get a taste of the majors
  22. Also seeing Kirby Yates pitch an inning and K 2 in the game hurts.... f*** that dude. If he had pitched like even 2 games for us in 2021 we probably make the playoffs.
