  1. Have you heard about the Braves starter
  2. I was fully onboard with firing ALL coaches a year ago. I like what im seeing so far. Blame has to be placed somewhere, and its felt like everyone has been given too much rope the past couple years. Schneider should’ve been booted after the 2022 playoff fiasco IMO.
  3. Jesus christ that was almost a game-winning double from Heyward lol
  4. Oh my god if I was a Tigers fan right now i'd be losing several years of my life due to stress
  5. yeah the numbers are almost identical for 2023/24, 100ish games at C and 45ish games at DH
  6. Giving a free out with a bunt.... now a single ties it. Lets see if it pays off
  7. this 9th is not going well for the Tigers so far...
  8. I think he's been DHing quite a bit, and they seem to like having McCann in there. Maybe a pitcher/catcher combo with Burnes
  9. Jeez Yordan runs like a 40 yr-old Pujols
  10. Lol yeah what an oddly candid article. Also owners really need to stop acting like they know s*** when it comes to roster decisions, but I suppose that comes with the over inflated ego of being a billionaire
  11. It really depends on how involved Shapiro actually is with the baseball decisions, development, etc. Like is Shapiro there in the draft meetings discussing potential picks?? Obviously he’s a part of discussing big free agents like Soto and others… but like is Shapiro sitting there dissecting the numbers on a potential IKF signing, or calling GMs to see what trades are available? If the answer to all those questions is YES, then firing him would certainly make a difference
  12. I selfishly wanted to watch baseball at 12 since I work from home
  13. Nah im complaining they aren’t worse like usual. Normally there’s a 12pm game. Seems MLB is smartening up a tad
  14. I think even if you compare Murphy to Contreras straight up, Contreras is clearly better as long as he doesn’t take a step back. Like if both guys are playing at their best, Contreras is better just because of the salary difference.
  15. And then he finally realized the error of his ways and traded for a stud vet like Murphy. Also shelling out to sign Russell Martin which IMO changed the culture of the Blue Jays immediately. Although he decided to trade away Contreras who looks like a better player that’s younger with more control…. So maybe he actually didn’t learn the lesson.
  16. First game isn’t til 2:30 tomorrow?? Dafuq?
  17. Loll dude was ahead of his time
  18. At the time, our biggest specs were Pearson, Manoah, Groshans, SWR and Martin. Likely a couple of those guys plus some lower tier dudes, which at time included names like Kirk, Orelvis, Hiraldo, Moreno, and Kolffenstein.
  19. So Toronto struck out on (and came very close to acquiring) Lindor, JRam, Ohtani. Those are all pretty much confirmed now. Imagine the team outlook with one of those guys signed long-term. Sigh.
  20. Its funny that idiots like Jaysblue can’t acknowledge that: 1. Yes the trade was a good trade for the Jays 2. They probably should have signed Teo back on a multi-year deal this offseason The two points are not mutually exclusive and im not sure why people act like the trade has anything to do with 2024 Teo.
  21. Imagine how bad the Jays would’ve been though if they weren’t so LUCKY with the starters staying healthy. That would’ve counteracted any difference Teo would’ve made.
  22. In hindsight, Semien would have been an excellent guy to sign back and have him as the primary SS. Move Bo to 2nd. His contract was seen as a bit crazy at the time but so far he’s been worth every penny and likely already providing surplus value on the deal as a whole.
  23. Yeah this is where the 40 man roster reduction hurts the Braves. If this was a couple years ago the Mets would’ve thrown out a AAA lineup
  24. Huh?
  25. The ninja strikes again. Even the players don’t know what’s happening with AA!
