    Blue Jays and missed opportunities, name a more iconic duo. Wasted 2021 by not adressing the pen soon enough, fall just short of acquiring players like Lindor, JRam, Ohtani, waste away a 7 run lead in a playoff game and get bounced early, don’t address the offense at the 2023 deadline, and now waste another epic season from Vlad and a weak playoff bracket in 2024.

    Probably a deadline trade patchup if that happens. Most teams don’t have catchers that can actually hit anyways, as long as the backup has good D its not the end of the world.

    Bassitt aint even in the same realm as some of these shitballers getting starts for these playoff teams. 2+ WAR and a low 4s ERA is perfectly acceptable to get a playoff start IMO
