    It can even extend into the regular season.... remember when Belt look absolutely lost for a few weeks to start the year in 2023? Also took Vladdy a while to get going last year. Alternatively, Varsho looked pretty good in ST and first few weeks of season before settling back into his old ways... same as Grichuk every year. Honestly gotta wait til June to get a gauge on these guys. The season is LOOOONG

    Ok… its still known he has wrist/knee issues. He plays through it, but its likeya factor as to why we don’t see those godly numbers each year like we expected

    Yes. Glancing at my fantasy teams and seeing more blue flags than usual. Lots of depth pitchers and bench pieces remain unsigned.

    Then why do you hold the opinion that not getting a deal done with Vlad is "a massive fail by the front office" ? It takes 2 to tango and its fairly obvious that Vlad is the main reason a deal didn't get done. Even the fact that we are talking about it in past tense is all because Vlad made some arbitrary deadline for an extension.

    Vlad also had no reason to take a discount deal after a terrible season. The guy is clearly deluded thinking he’s one of the best players in the game, he was never going to settle.

    Yes, this has been pretty clear since last offseason. Vlad needs the wakeup call that he actually isn't getting close to Soto numbers.

    And im tired of giving Vlad extra points because "he's young" Whatever gains he might make while aging and learning are negated by the fact his body will start declining rapidly.
