  1. Incoming 100 million deal for Teo Santander gonna be way overpayed if Teo signs with the Dodgers first
  2. He’s signing with the Dodgers
  3. Probably saw his friends and liked it. That’s it. We already know he has single-digit IQ
  4. Also i’d say sexual assault crimes are seen as more heinous than regular physical assault. People acting like Bauer = every other domestic dispute case is exhausting.
  5. He definitely wouldn’t. He hasn’t learned yet. Even got booted out of Japan for being a raging douchenozzle.
  6. One is a loudmouth headache while the other has pretty much 0 social media presence and barely speaks english.
  7. The trouble is, he's been very up and down. Would anyone have been happy with a 300 million dollar deal after the 2023 season??
  8. Scott Boras has a stranglehold on the offseason
  9. Yeah the most frustrating thing about all this is that when you try to argue why its shady/problematic, people immediately assume it’s because you don’t understand the numbers or don’t understand accounting. Fact of the matter is, we haven’t seen any other team take advantage of deferrals nearly as much as the Dodgers have these past 2 years. I am very interested to see if the Soto deal is also a ballooned fugazi with 200 million in deferrals. And if other teams aren’t doing it… then why? Why do the Dodgers stand alone here?
  10. Which is actually a much more serious offense lol. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this.
  11. He was kinda good the first half-year we acquired him.
  12. I’d still expect this to be a major point of contention in the next CBA negotiations. Owners will want to get rid of it because the contracts are starting to balloon out of control, but the players will want to keep it. Whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not, the Dodgers are getting away with having a smaller number on the books for luxury tax calculations. That’s an indisputable fact. I know its been “part of the rules all along”, but no team has leveraged this loophole nearly as much as the Dodgers the past couple offseasons.
  13. Yup its all ******** and completely goes against what competitive balance is all about. And its the f***ing Dodgers doing this on pretty much every free agent they sign. Sofly circumventing the spirit of the rules. f*** them
  14. Math is hard eh? 182 > 160 And the 160/5 guess was pretty bold… how many sites predicted that? Also the Dodgers deferring money yet again is f***ing nonsense
  15. Jays better hurry up and sign Santander before the Dodgers decide to pay Teo 100 million…
  16. Nice, Dodgers just totally f***ed the market. Seriously f*** the Dodgers
  17. Interesting move lol. Trying to recapture that market they lost with Ohtani leaving haha. Also good for Yusei, he gets a contract twice as large as the one he signed 3 years ago
  18. I think it'll happen. It will just be more like an Aaron Judge scenario where the Jays match/exceed the highest bid in free agency. Rogers needs a face of franchise and wont allow Vlad to be poached. The casuals love him.
  19. If the Jays managed to sign Soto, i feel it would also force the Yankees to respond by handing out a bunch of potentially bad contracts to guys like Bregman, Adames, Snell, etc.
  20. What the hell are you talking about
  21. Yea but still, Stipe hasn’t had a fight in 4 years and that fight ended with him getting sent to the shadow realm. Easy W for Jones in all likelihood
  22. And we get yet another stupid fight (albeit less stupid than that boxing circus) tonight with Jon Jones vs a 50 yr old Stipe that hasn’t fought in like 4 years. Pretty sure everyone wants Stipe to win but knows it will be Jones.
  23. Iron Mike looked more like Turtle Mike. Old and slow. Looked good for the first 2 rounds and that was it. Boring fight.
  24. Conveniently ignoring his atrocious 2022 and 2023 seasons. Plus his reported terrible attitude.
