  1. Cease got that dawg in him. Even with bad command he can be effective
  2. Damn too bad we didn’t spend 70mil on this guy. Could’ve had…. 1 more win maybe
  3. But I suppose he could get a blown save in the 8th?
  4. I don’t think Hoffman gets the 9th with the lead anymore for the foreseeable future
  5. I am fully prepared to get dumped on by Trout this entire series
  6. Murakami and Yermin Mercedes is a great core for that offense
  7. HR rate was an issue for the entire staff last season. Also, the manager is not gonna come out and blast his players to the media (unless you’re Vitello who can’t keep his mouth shut) Hoffman has obviously been moved down the pecking order with him pitching the 8th the other day, whether the manager says so or not. And finally, its not usually worth investing highly into relief pitchers on big contracts as they have an extremely high chance of turning to s*** immediately
  8. Just look at the Braves, they are managing just fine!! (Please ignore last year when the pitching injuries completely derailed their season)
  9. See this is the type of s*** I wanna see/read Not “HOFFMAN SUCKS GET HIM OFF THE TEAM” 50 times a day
  10. Its Steve Cohen’s karma tax
  11. Devin Williams with the blown save and they ended up losing in the 10th Rough start for the Metropolitans
  12. Felt like one of those innings where Gausman falls off the rails and gets singled to death lol
  13. Do maybe Nathan Lukes doesn’t actually suck and had a medical issue
  14. The jump in HR rate from 2024 to 2025 is ridiculous. You’d think it has to be a statistical anomaly, yet it has continued this year
  15. His 2025 numbers are pretty much the same as his numbers with the Phillies, with the only real change being… an extremely ballooned homerun rate. Not sure why exactly that’s happening but that’s the reason he’s stunk
  16. Actually Hoffman/Bednar is a great comp, both are walking way too many and striking out tons of batters. The difference in my eyes is 1 guy has been lucky while the other has not. That being said I wouldn’t be comfortable with either as my closer. I don’t want my closer walking guys
  17. This is a completely rational take, kudos. Hoffman cannot be the closer at this point and you need to be wary of using him in high leverage spots. But you keep him in the pen and hope he turns it around
  18. That’s the thing, several good teams with great closers have been having issues. Abreu is trash Munoz is trash Bednar has been walking 5 per 9 and been super lucky he hasn’t blown more saves Problem with the Jays is we can’t afford to blow saves when they’re struggling so hard to score runs.
  19. Alek Thomas made some deal with the devil in exchange for those 2 s*** hits tonight. That one that hit the 1B bag was crazy
  20. 12 hits to Arizona’s 8. How many more losses like this can we handle
