  1. "Clubhouse Culture Change"
  2. Its because idiots expect Martin to repeat his 2014 with the bat, but with more homeruns since Rogers Centre.
  3. Im pretty sure Mighty Mouse refers to Izturis
  4. True, but you never know once you reach the playoffs. It all depends on who gets hot. Look at Detroit, they had Price/Scherzer/Verlander and they got swept by Baltimore
  5. I still think Aoki and Lowrie is what this team needs. Guys that will be relatively cheap and provide around 1.5 to 2 WAR. Would leave us with a lineup like this: SS-Reyes-S LF-Aoki-L RF-Bautista-R DH-Encarnacion-R 3B-Donaldson-R C-Martin-R 2B-Lowrie-S 1B-Smoak/Valencia CF-Pompey-S That is an excellent lineup all-around. Speed, contact, OBP, and MASSIVE power at the centre. And then we have Dirks, Pillar, Travis, Kawasaki, Izturis, Goins and others as depth.
  6. Can somebody smarter than me PLEASE make a thread explaining that our starting rotation is fine? Too many people here think that our most important need is 1 or even 2 more starters.
  7. Thank god AA was just quoted stating that LF and 2B are our most important needs.
  8. Thats a pretty big IF, but yes I would like to see Smoak given some ABs at 1st and DH EDIT: Steamer projection for Smoak isn't too bad
  9. If Martin puts up numbers like 2014 I would be f***ing ecstatic. However, he has a career .350 obp and 2014 was the first time he ever had a .400 obp. Don't forget that he played with the Yanks in 2011-2012 and his numbers weren't amazing.
  10. Excellent quotes by AA. He got the order down right IMO. Adressing LF and 2B is more important than improving the rotation.
  11. No. Please stop. Martin will not have another .400 obp season. Edwin is a better hitter than Martin in every way. BA, obp, and extra base/home run power. Look past just their 2014 stats.
  12. I'm kinda iffy on Melky. I don't think he'll be able to hit like he did in 2014, and his defense will continue to decline. I wouldn't go higher than 3/40
  13. Lets just pull off another f***ing blockbuster with the A's. McCarthy + Lowrie + Reddick for Travis + Sanchez + Jiminez + ??? That would solve alot of holes for us. EDIT: on second thought, that's probably an overpay on our side.
  14. Oh ok I didn't know about the option. And yes, I would also rather get a Lefty bat like Jay Bruce.
  15. I'm pretty sure both Dickey and Cespedes only have 1 year left on their contracts. But yes, I agree with you. I was just thinking about it today and felt like it was a realistic potential trade.
  16. Yeah I'd probably rather keep Dickey too. Our lineup with Cespedes would be f***ing nasty though. Reyes Donaldson Bautista Encarnacion Cespedes Martin
  17. I think i'd put Bautista as Thor and Martin as Cap, although he isn't American so maybe that doesn't work... Maybe you could change him to Captain Canada?
  18. Dickey + Thole for Cespedes. Would you do it?
  19. Yeah that was a dumb lineup. Edwin is a WAAAY better hitter than Martin
  20. Reyes to NY for Elsbury? Hehe...hehe... If only
  21. Meh, a platoon of Pillar/Dirks is decent fof LF. 2B is a hole though, until Travis is ready to step in.
  22. Actually now that I think about it, AA probably traded Lind because of his constant injuries. Its looking like AA is getting rid of all the injury-prone players. I would not be surprised if we traded Reyes now.
  23. I completely agree with you. This lineup is strong enough that I don't think we need a TRUE DH kinda guy. DH should be split between Edwin/Reyes/Smoak/Navarro/whoever needs some rest
  24. Hmmm... I seem to recall the BLUE JAYS being the vegas favourites in 2012, how did that turn out?
