  1. They could just trade him to the Dodgers in 2 years
  2. He had one bad year. Other than 2014, Bruce was a very solid bat for 4 seasons
  3. Morosi and Rosenthal are professionals. Law, not so much.
  4. Dude are you f***ed in the head? No way we sign Cueto AND Shields
  5. Agree. It'll take more than Sanchez though
  6. Done with free agency does not mean done improving the roster. There are still trades to be made. I don't think we're done with free agency though.
  7. I'm fine with that. Saunders isn't a big name and neither is Headley
  8. The agents should be the embarrassed ones. Its their responsibility to know the pros and cons of each of the 30 cities. It's pretty ridiculous that they have no idea about the taxes in Toronto.
  9. AA just talked about the perceived "Tax issue" with FAs signing with the Jays. Said a big study was done by the org about 10 yrs ago and it concluded that Toronto is mid-pack for taxes in MLB cities. Said that alot of Agents are uninformed, and that he needs to do a better job of making agents understand that the tax thing is overblown
  10. Yes. AA said that they feel he is on the same level as Nolin
  11. AA said that signing Martin was more about 2016 and beyond than 2015. Said that Navarro is an FA next year and that the catcher market next year is crap
  12. I would be happy with that. But I think we should adress 2B and LF first
  13. Well the jays DID have a deal in place for Santana for 14 million. That would have made a 150 million payroll right? So maybe McClown is right
  14. I agree with everything except for Shields. Lester would be a much better acquisition
  15. The jays news this week has been making me so hard. I really hope we can sign some more impact players like Martin.
  16. I don't like Hanley that much. Bad attitude and injury-prone. Kinda like Lawrie. Hanley is a great player, but I'd rather have Pablo
  17. The "taxes are higher" issue is a fabrication. Such a lie, I really hope that isnt what is preventing Panda from signing with us
  18. I love how Greenwood didn't reply to my post on pg.1 If you missed it, Greenwood thinks that we could have signed Martin for 5/65 if the contract wasn't backloaded.
  19. Where the hell are you getting these numbers from? Martin signed for 5/82 and you think he would have signed for 5/65 if we didn't backload? You're an idiot
  20. We definitely need an infielder like Jed Lowrie or Headley. What happens when Lawrie/Reyes get hurt? Our infield could look like Lawrie-Goins-Izturis or Izturis-Reyes-Goins or possibly even Izturis-Goins-Travis for a whole month. That would be trash.
  21. Lets not forget that AA was able to offload the Wells contract. Im not concerned at all with Martin's contract. The only contract on this team that scares me is Reyes'. Hopefully AA realizes the time to move Reyes is NOW
  22. I would be overjoyed if we signed Jed Lowrie/Chase Headley and traded for a LF
  23. Rotation is fine, top priorities should be: 1. An outfielder - either LF/CF, preferably a strong LF bat 2. Another infielder - preferably a decent bat that can adequately play SS or 2B, although a 3B would be alright 3. 1 or 2 bullpen arms 4. A number 1/2 type starter IMO that should be the order of priority.
