    Yeah I think the whole Dan Norris thing is ridiculous. I personally hate people like that. The ones that try to advertise their "unique" and "cool" lifestyle. They want EVERYONE to know. Idk to me its a stupid way to life/stupid hobby. And he comes off as mentally unstable.

    I still can't believe that utterly idiotic story was even published. Jesus christ what shitshow that was... I remember AA even had to have a press conference about it and he was basically laughing in disbelief at the whole situation.

    Or... Trade one of Edwin/Bautista for prospects in their final year with us. We still have Donaldson, and by 2017 Travis and Pompey should both be above-average with the bat. You're freaking out over nothing

    I don't really see the problem. The team has to try and get the player for as cheap as possible. Its negotiating tactics. We did the same thing with Donaldson.

    I wouldn't really want to extend him for 4/5 years. I like his contract as it is right now. He's 28, and he's got 2 years to prove himself. If he sucks, we'll let him go. If he's good we'll probably re-sign him, and if he's amazing then we let him go but at least we got 2 great years from him. Just look at the Colby situation right now. Many people (myself included) wanted to re-sign him last year for something like 4/40 or 4/50. His defense and bat took a huge step back this year, and I WOULDN'T be happy with paying him 10/12 million a year right now.

    Thanks for being a civil poster. Its nice to have fans from other teams post here once in a while, especially if they're like you. Yeah we all used to post on the official MLB Jays forum, and we had a problem with this guy that would create hundreds of accounts, all including "dogg" or "zee". He would create like 10-20 topics a day and talk to himself with his multiple accounts. It actually caused the creation of this website, and all of the posters from the old forum moved to this one. That happened in May of 2013. Anyways, thats the history of our forum here. Its doing pretty well now.

    Thanks for the rational post. I agree with you, the timing of this is terrible for you guys and its not right that DD has been sitting with his thumb up his ass throughout this whole offseason. On our side, I just want a new president. Beeston is terrible. Anybody else would be an improvement. Obviously DD is smarter than alot of other guys out there and it would be nice to have him as president, but I don't see our front office giving up anything close to Hoffman/Sanchez/Norris etc. It just wouldn't make sense for us. If Angelos is demanding a talent like one of those guys and won't budge, then I don't think we will get DD. We would just look elsewhere.

    I don't think anybody from our front office has even made a comment about Duquette other than mentioning he is a possible candidate. Don't get your hopes up dude

    Explain to me, WHY exactly do we need Dan Duquette? We can just hire somebody else, we're not gonna give up any significant assets for him.

    Steamer projects him to have a decent offensive season. He should be at least league average with the bat, which is fine considering we have several other positions of strength.

    Just a side comment, Ned Yost's lineup contruction last year was f***ing atrocious. Gordon and Perez batting 6/7 while ESCOBAR and AOKI bat 1/2???? Terrible
