  1. Last I heard, the price on Price was Buxton ++, so you better be prepared to pay the man.
  2. In fairness to Boxy, Odorizzi was in that trade too. In the end I traded Lester, Odorizzi, Gary Sanchez and a 1st for Jose Fernandez. I don't know if that's a lot or not, I'd have given up almost anything to land Fernandez.
  3. Hard to imagine Iwakuma getting a better return than Lawrie, who was like a 2nd round pick.
  4. Don't get your heart set on anything, as NJH said we have no intetion of moving off Yahoo.
  5. If anyone is looking to sell a SP and reload for next year, I have some solid young arms available: Sonny Gray, Foltynewicz, Miguel Almonte, Tyler Glasnow, Andrew Heaney, and my 1st rounder.
  6. Carlos Quentin on the DL? Never thought I'd see the day.
  7. Of course, it bears mentioning that Rios is an apathetic piece of s*** who probably doesn't even like baseball. If you care about those kind of things.
  8. Garcia isn't really a guy, so I dig this deal for Texas. Good Alex is a very good baseball player, and at the very least you get plus defense and baserunning. 2/$26 isn't a very risky contract at all by current standards, and as I've mentioned a bajillion times, increased revenue sharing kicks in next year.
  9. I really don't give a s*** about those metrics, like at all. The arm is plus and the range looks solid. His defensive tools are visibly superior to a replacement level scrub like Kawasaki. Unless you can somehow acquire a defensive wizard who can contribute something offensively, it's a bonehead move.
  10. Wat Reyes is an entirely viable SS. It would completely idiotic to move him unless he starts hemorrhaging runs.
  11. It looked pretty much exactly like that. That's got to be embarassing if you're a Seattle fan.
  12. If a pitcher is starting on a given day, a ^ appears next to their name. If you click on the Opponents tab on your My Team page, you can see all your SP ^s for the next 5 days or so.
  13. I'm talking about your personal performance history and trophy cases, etc. I've used ESPN before and I didn't find it substantially better. I also know for a fact that most GMs in this league are in multiple Yahoo leagues, so moving to ESPN would cause those owners to have to use two interfaces going forward, a major annoyance. I'm in 5 leagues, and I want all my leagues in one dashboard, I dont want to have to use both ESPN AND yahoo, which is what would happen. I don't really think it should be a votable issue as it could cause significant upheaval among the league GMs.
  14. I can't see moving to ESPN for minor aesthetic reasons. We all have long track records on Yahoo and its nice to keep those archives intact. The only way I would consider moving from Yahoo is if ESPN incorporated a fully integrated keeper/prospect/future pick tracking system that removed a lot of administrative legwork for us.
  15. None of those guys are prospects anyway.
  16. Hey guys, Unfortunately, The Dude has abandoned his L1 team. He has not been online since Jun 27 and is not setting lineups. So effective immediately, I am seeking a replacement for him. Here's the deal: - I'm looking for someone from L2 or DDL to take ownerhip of the team and set lineups/make competitive transactions for the rest if the season - If you can guide the team out of relegation, you keep it for next year - If the team still gets relegated, you will be 1st on the shortlist as a replacement GM if a non-promotion spot opens up (always one or two every year) - If I don't have any takers from L2/DDL, other solid bros will be considered as well
  17. I'm stoked for the Bogaerts era to begin.
  18. What, you guys dont think Ibanez is a true talent 40 HR threat going forward?
  19. Choo would have been a great fit for BTS before he got Trumbo. I love Choo, he can anchor your team's OBP.
  20. My personal feeling is that Fernandez will be a perennial Cy Young contender as long as he stays healthy. I'd put him right up there with Bumgarner on my depth chart, maybe even better as soon as next year.
  21. I also had to move Morse off the DL, so I wanted to do a 2-for-1. By the time Jose gets deactivated, Pineda should be called up, so in a perfect world scenario I can just flip those two on my NA slot and avoid another roster crunch.
  22. That's exactly what it is, but my hope is that Fernandez will out-produce Lester until he gets shut down, and that Morse provides similar production to Zimmerman. It's all a crapshoot once you get into the playoffs anyway.
  23. Or his arm will explode from a massive workload increase. Either way I want to build a shrine to him. BAMF.
  24. Also, he has a very deceptive delivery, which IMO is a pretty underrated asset. There's a reason he has so much success with the fastball, it's incredibly hard to pick up out of the hand and he commands it to all quadrants.
