  1. He's a solid dynasty SP3 type. I would expect his HR rate to regress a bit (in the bad direction), bringing his ERA back into the mid-upper 3s.
  2. Interesting trade: Georgia Peach gets Oswaldo Arcia and Soler Gryffindor gets Quintana I think I prefer GP's end of the deal but it's a nice need for need trade between two teams building for the future.
  3. MLB Surprise - Evan Gattis I thought El Oso Blanco would be good, but not the beast that he has been. He carried my team for a month. MLB Disappointment - Allen Craig I still expect him to hit for average with an OPS around .800 going forward, but he was a sinkhole in my lineup until I acquired Moss. Honourable mention goes to James Shields, Ian Desmond, and Choo. MiLB Surprise - Marco Gonzales Tore up the minors and still has a bright future as a 3/4. MiLB Disappointment - Miguel Almonte He was okay, but he didn't take the step forward that I expected. Still a borderline Top 50 prospect as per BP.
  4. Trying to draft a fantasy-relevent D-man seems like a fool's errand.
  5. It's interesting to see how these either/or trades work out. When NJH and I did our Anibal trade, I offered Ryu + one of Beachy or Archer, and he ended up taking Beachy, who broke almost immediately. I dodged a bullet on that one, Archer has been fantastic so far.
  6. If u mad, I'm happy. Full credit to GD on the pick tho.
  7. I like SG's farm the best, but nobody in this league has a farm that blows my socks off.
  8. Keep up the good work! Hopefully you can force WAR Puigs and 2LS into packing it in and retooling for next year.
  9. I doubt that. If Friedman had Russell on the table for Price and held out for more, he overplayed his hand.
  10. Holy crap, I DO have a Top 50 prospect! How did that happen and who can I trade him to?
  11. BTS just barely escaped the Average tier (.450-.549). Perhaps I should narrow the average range to .475-.524, but I enjoy disparaging NJH too much.
  12. Week 15 Power Ranking. New Metric "Month" = zTOT - zTOT(4 wks ago).
  13. Gordinger selects Mitch Holmberg, fatcocklover on the clock.
  14. Wow, pretty surprised the A's gave up Russell to go for it this year. As a Shark owner I love the boost though!
  15. Everytime I make an add or change my lineup, Yahoo f***s up my lineups for the rest of the week. Pretty damn annoying.
  16. Me: Hey Yahoo, the Red Sox game was postponed today so I'm going to bench David Ortiz and play Torii Hunter, cool? Yahoo: Sure! Just let me bench your 4 starting pitchers tomorrow while I'm at it.
  17. Nice work GD, make a note that Spanky like Brown. We'll happily include him as a centrepiece for Spanky's veteran stud when Big Red falls out of the playoff race by Xmas.
  18. Trades I regret: James Shields for Yordano & Giolito - Ugh. Really hoping that he doesn't sign w the Yankees next year Freddie Freeman for Choo + MiLB parts (via Price) - I replaced Freeman's production at UTIL with Ortiz, but Choo has been a big disappointment lately Sonny Gray, Rasmus, Asdrubal for Ian Desmond & Kyle Crick - Thought I was selling high on Gray, who I nabbed as a 4th round MiLB pick in our 2nd MiLB draft. Desmond has been average while Gray has emerged as a legit SP2 There are probably some others that I can't remember, but these stand out in my recent memory. Anybody else willing to revisit their terrible transactions?
  19. If anyone has a playable C that they'd trade for Torii Hunter or Bronson Arroyo, hit me up. I'm looking for someone to platoon with Salty. I could also part with Kris Medlen or Chris Archer, but I'd be aiming a little higher in that case.
  20. Damn, Boxy's team is worse than my team is good.
  21. Good job GD, but it doesn't look right with me sharing a tier with those underlings.
  22. The reports I've seen say 2+ weeks, but nothing about being done for the year.
  23. Archer is a badass who really hasn't gotten his due yet. His FIP is in the same neighborhood as Scherzer, Cueto and Tanaka this year through 95 IP.
