    Dickey is locked in at $12M next year, it seems unlikely that Estrada will get much more than that annually.

    If you guys had to choose next between between Dickey or Estrada for the same money, who would you pick? I have a feeling almost everyone would take Estrada at this point, and it may come down to that.

    I doubt this has much to do with superstition, the blues just look badass. Look at the crowd, the vast majority of jerseys are blue, not white or grey.

    You have one set of signs when the bases are empty and a different set when there's a runner on 2nd. Whether it's 3rd sign is the pitch, or the first sign that comes after I put down two fingers, or whatever the case may be, catchers always do this. If you give straight signs when a runner is on second and can see your fingers, you'd have to be a f***ing idiot.

    Cueto got rattled, pure and simple. He can make all the excuses he wants, he simply didn't execute.

    Good on Volquez for rightly pointing out that it's logistically impossible. Not to mention, no self-respecting major leaguer is going to rely on stolen signs to determine which pitch to swing at. I don't hear Alex Rios chiming in saying, "Yeah, we stole signs when I was there, the team management encourags it." Even if you were stealing signs, you would never rely on them being 100% accurate. Furthermore, if you are getting your signs stolen, that's completely on you.

    LOL! I believe he also tipped the Jays off that Cueto was setting up outside to walk half our lineup.

    Are you actually kidding me, though? They change their signs up constantly. There's no way someone could decipher through all the misdirections and fake signs to find the proper pitch and location, and then relay it to the batter in time to actually use the information. It's just so patently absurd.

    U r so smrt. Can you pull any numbers on his relative velocity? I feel like he probably releases the ball substantially closer to the plate than most pitches. An 87 MPH sucks, but it sucks less when it's traveling 53 feet instead of 55, or whatever.

    I can't even describe how angry it makes me to see Escobar roping hits every game against us, smugly vindicating that eyeliner-wearing piece of s***.

    I'd probably flip Revere and Pillar, or bat Revere 9th. It would be nice to have him on base for the power bats (when he gets on base) for the additional fastballs.

    Yeah, but then again, he's under the mistaken impression that you should put your best hitter in the 3-hole. He should really be batting either leadoff or cleanup, with JD batting 2nd and EE either 4th or 5th.

    Yep, if we're going down this path, our leadoff hitter should unquestionably be our guy who walks 100 times per season.

    He earned his NTC. If you want to s*** on someone for that, s*** on JFJ or whoever gave it to him in the first place.
