    What are you basing this statement on? Can you quantify that for us with WAR, or at least give specific examples of prospects that you feel we mined that other teams overlooked? Other than Syndergaard, there aren't any prospects that AA was ahead of the curve on. Stroman fell due to size concerns, not because he was an unknown.

    None of that is conjecture, those are all factual statements. Whether or not you believe his draft record is above average on the whole is a different matter. I like AA, but I just don't see an elite draft record.

    I'm not s***ing on him, I think his draft record is average. The point I'm making is that AA having a good draft is anything but "a given."

    There really aren't any teams who need a DH on a one year deal who have controllable, talented young arms that they'd deal for him.

    Meh. He drafted Deck McGuire over Chris Sale and Yasmani Grandal. He was in the room when we drafted Chad Jenkins over Mike Trout. He failed to sign two 1st round picks in his tenure. He took DJ Davis over Michael Wacha and Corey Seager. He hit on Syndergaard, but then he squandered him. Other than that, it's pretty much Stroman and a mixed bag.
