1. I could sell those 3 relievers for minimal returns, such as draft pick upgrades, but if I dump all three into the waiver draft, odds are pretty good I can get one back.
 2. The ratios are still elite. If my asking price doesn't get met, I'll gladly put him in the draft for a chance to get him back.
 3. Still looking to move Koji, Herrera, CLOSER Brad Ziegler, and Dickey for prospects.
 4. Either you front-load the deal OR give an opt-out, but not both. That would destroy any value we might get from his good years. Using this model, we'd pay $100M for about 15 WAR. If you're going to give him an opt-out, you back-load the contract a bit and try to get that 15 WAR for $60-70M, which would be a steal.
 5. Yeah, just spit-balling, but maybe something like:

2016 $15,000,000.00

2017 $30,000,000.00

2018 $30,000,000.00

2019 $25,000,000.00

2020 $25,000,000.00

2021 $25,000,000.00

2022 $20,000,000.00

2023 $20,000,000.00

$190,000,000.00

6. Possible solutions: Give him an opt-out after 3 years that he will surely exercise, or front-load the contract.
 7. The Chavez trade wouldn't be a waste. Price Stroman Estrada Dickey Chavez With Hutch for depth and Osuna + Sanchez in the bullpen.
 8. Lol why is a 30 year old on this list? SMH
 9. Although really, I'm pretty sure most people would gladly take that from their SS.
 10. OBP isn't everything, you can lack in one category if you excel in others. Besides, he'll probably not start two Trumbos all year, just ride the hot one and bench the one in a rut.
 11. I predict that Gattis hits 35 HR and regains C eligibility, while Montas has TJS and becomes another Bruce Rondon/Joel Zumaya.
 12. Indeed. I now have a very unsettling amount of White Sox pitchers.
 13. Probably something like he has durability concerns, he isn't proven yet, he'll never throw 200 IP, etc.
 14. Oh really? I wish I'd said that like 6 months ago. Good thing you sold high to Boxy.
 15. Koji is available for a MiLB asset. Herrera too. I could also trade Watson or O'Day, but the price would be higher.
 16. Give me a pick for Koji, dickhead. I'll sell you a Koji + Gattis package for a reasonable MiLB return.
 17. I actually think Tim & Sid are fairly smart, especially Tim. They play up the whole jackass routine, but for the most part there is intellect behind it. *presses airhorn button*
 18. He couldn't resume baseball activity at any point this season, he's finished. His arm is mangled. Funny how, for several years there, we used to think, "Ok, every pitcher is subject to injury... except for Halladay, Lee, and Sabathia. They're so durable!" But in the end, they all declined precipitously rather than gracefully, and mostly due to injury. Same with Verlander, really.
 19. A 2nd rounder seems like a pretty good get for a guy that was dropped (at least) twice this season.
