  1. I'm glad we could come to a consensus on the ability of a player that none of us have ever seen play and is at least 4 years away from the major leagues.
  2. You can trade him to me any time. I'll gladly buy more stock before he starts ripping up the prospect lists.
  3. Ok, if that's your definition, I will subtract "generational talent" and substitute "franchise talent."
  4. Is Machado a generational talent? I would say yes. That's the kind of ceiling that's been discussed for Maitan.
  5. I'm just going by what the scouts say, comping his bat to Miggy while projecting him to stay at SS or 3B. We'll have a better idea this time next year. And I still think Moncada could be a generational talent, although the K spike is concerning.
  6. The one time Boxy gets the 1st overall pick in the MiLB draft and Hurl steals away his generational prospect.
  7. Realistically, probably both Stroman and Liriano will pitch at some point in the WC game. You're not going to let Liriano go through the order the 3rd time unless he's having the game of his life, and if Stroman starts, Liriano is going to be on Davis assignment for the late innings.
  8. All games matter. Just because Betts' team won more games, that has nothing to do with his ability vis-a-vis Trout. Boston was already rewarded with a Division banner, MVP is an individual award. Their respective statistical cases are not really that close at all to even begin to consider their team records.
  9. If Trout gets robbed again it will be criminal.
  10. I personally can't really trust Liriano with such a huge game, given his long history of control problems and propensity for getting shelled. I'm glad he's pitching well lately, but Stroman has been our best pitcher over a multi-year period and has proven to excel in high pressure games. I'm not one to give much of a s*** about intangibles, but seeing how Stroman kept us in several do-or-die playoff games last year, I think he's earned this wildcard game. I'd be giving the start to Stroman, and if he can't deliver, so be it. If he gives up a few early runs, all options are on the table to go to Liriano or Estrada out of the pen.
  11. These are some great Pat Tabler stats.
  12. He also ranked 123rd in The Arencibia Classic! All around, a great season for Prado.
  13. I have three 40 HR hitters, anybody wanna trade for some pop? OBP sold separately.
  14. According to you, Perez isn't any good. I don't see the problem.
  15. Let's make a list of all the young players Dinger drafted/talked up, traded, and then became studs: Willson Contreras Sonny Gray Gary Sanchez Yordano Ventura Greg Bird Studhood Pending: Lucas Giolito Byron Buxton
  16. How dare you mention Lorenzen!? I'm pissed about him. I finally gave up and cut him, then he immediately became a solid SP-eligible reliever. I could have used him this year.
  17. I've scouted the stat lines and it's rather decided.
  18. Maybe Lourdes Gurriel? Or, if Hurl takes Seth Beer, I guess there's a chance Otani might come over.
  19. I have a 20/40 CF with good OBP skills for you. Young too, and plays in a hitters park.
  20. I'll probably swap him straight up for Ryon Healy.
  21. I would be very interested in trading Keon Broxton for Mike Moustakas.
  22. Jeren Kendall kinda looks like Blake Griffin.
  23. Next year you're gonna finish 15th and Seth Beer will be the next Kris Bryant tho =/
  24. Kendall seems to be a consensus 1-1 type, so it's not all bad.
