Dave Wallace has resigned as the Orioles' pitching coach.
Wallace is hoping to continue coaching in some capacity, preferably in a role without so much travel. "I reached that point in my life I want to spend more time with the family, but I still have a passion to help young pitchers," the 69-year-old told USA Today's Bob Nightengale on Thursday. Wallace has over 35 years of experience in professional baseball and spent the past three years (2014-2016) as the pitching coach of the O's. The team produced a 19th-ranked 4.22 staff ERA in 2016.
