    I'm not sure why Dave is being all wishy washy. Why is it necessary to decide how much context to remove? Why can't you make more than one version of WAR? So maybe context free, 50% context and current WAR. I love how he writes like there's some great dilemma. It's a f***ing stat. You can have more than one.

    I'm looking to perhaps deal an OF for a SP, preferably Duvall since he's a bit of an odd man out. I'm open to maybe dealing Cruz but he's one of the few sure things I have in my lineup so it'd probably take an overpay to get him. Duvall is still a guy who is sort of Chris Carter-ish but with OF designation and a little bit of room for growth. I'm looking for maybe a #3-4. Maybe a Drew Smyly type guy.     - Kevin Pillar will hit for a 110 wRC+ thanks to him not trying to hit the ball hard all the time - Ryan Goins will continue to be an important cog in the machine and become the starting 2B - Aaron Sanchez will be better than Noah Syndergaard - Justin Smoak will finally realize he plays for the Blue Jays and becomes a 4 WAR player - Roberto Osuna continues his progression and outperforms Aroldis Chapman and Zach Britton as the best closer in the AL. - everyone who chose to leave the Jays this past offseason has a terrible year and a couple of them have career ending injuries.
