  1. Maybe Dinger didn't want to look at Ry on everytime he checks his team. I know I wouldn't.
  2. That's a killing imo. My opinion is worthless but that's a great return for Seager.
  3. Ry-on Rai-own Rye-oun Dear Mrs. and Mr. Healy, Why did you have to put an "o" there? It's like I finally don't have to deal with Jhonny Peralta anymore and Ry-on is here to take his place.
  4. Machado is worth a shitload more money than all three of those guys. You'd need to provide some evidence for your claims. Painting it like Machado won't be re-signed because he's Latino is really dumb and disingenuous. Why did the Orioles draft him in the first place? Why would his ethnicity have any bearing on whether the team retains a great player or doesn't?

What part do you disagree with? Or are you just upset that I'm questioning your Toronto Maple Leaves?

Why are they nicknamed the "Buds"? Buds and Leaves are two very different things. It's like nicknaming the Las Vegas Golden Knights the "Squires". But then what else is there to expect from a team that doesn't know how to pluralize "Leaf".
  7. What? The Yankees have been under Cashman since 1998. Do you mean Steinbrenner's kids?
  8. one for Silverdumn too
  9. Important takeaway: they are still upset over a batflip that happened a year and a half ago to a completely different team on the other side of the country. Orioles fans are the gift that keeps on giving. If you're a fan of salt, that is.
  10. First one was probably 450 feet to CF, second was a 425 ft line drive to right. 5 are bee eyes Oh man, I've run out of juice.
  11. This guy is gonna be a monster and Girardi officially christened him as the starting 1B. He's got some crazy power, it's a wonder why he didn't pop more dingers in the minors.
  12. http://68.media.tumblr.com/782a88f29266b129f27782ef8d5df2c9/tumblr_o9k1yizP8a1tx72cpo2_500.gif aww
  13. Now that I'm reflecting on Gibby, I actually love everything about him aside from his strategic decisions (which can always be improved). He is lovable, hilarious, well liked by his players, stands up to s***** umpires (that drove me crazy about John Farrell), open minded, doesn't engage in s*** flinging or drama with other teams, doesn't allow his players to disrespect him or the team. I mean, I feel like a lot of his qualities are just natural and can't be learned. He can always become more savvy with his strategic decisions and I'm sure we will see him guided to be better in that area with the current FO being what it is. I'm sure it's way easier to take a naturally great people person like Gibby and mould them into a decent strategist than it is to take a saber friendly guy and turn him into a good player's manager.
  14. I'd probably do it. I think dumb-dumbs like NJH are still underestimating Diaz. Scherzer is the second best pitcher in the game and I'm not really worried about his finger, plus he doesn't have as many innings riding on his arm as a lot of other top tier pitchers his age. Richards looks like a lost cause. The gap from Diaz-Machado is much smaller than Scherzer-Richards and Diaz hitting second in a decent lineup should still give him some nice counting stats while also really helping your rate stats.

The Toronto Maple Leaves have 33 wins, 38 losses and are currently in line to compete for the league championship. L-O-L How anyone can enjoy the NHL and its joke of a standings system is beyond me.
  16. Because it would smell bad and I don't have any on hand
  17. Yeah, clicking someone's name and selecting "view profile" and "ignore this poster" is a lot of hard work. I had a hard time interrupting my cat video marathon to actually do it.
  18. The picture cracks me up every time.
  19. I think the d-bag is probably Arrieta.
  20. I hate it too. I just never know what to use instead.
  21. Yeah, I'm just imagining this team with someone like Bobby Valentine instead of Gibby and that would not go over well. He drives me crazy sometimes, but I think it's pretty clear the players all get along with him but he doesn't let them walk all over him like, say, Matt Williams in Washington. He slaps them down when they get out of line while not dwelling on it. Seems like a genuinely good dude.
  22. Probably won't help. I'm in the camp that the eye skill is largely genetic. This skill lives at the fringes of what is possible for the human body to accomplish.
