  1. LOL what is this? Please keep posting. So Pillar doesn't walk because he doesn't want to sacrifice his non-existant power? Wut?
  2. He's only ever on the team when Travis gets injured. When Travis is healthy, he's in AAA. That's not my definition of sticking.
  3. There was a written rule prohibiting it, the issue was that it's a rule that pretty much every pitcher breaks. However, at least the vast majority of pitchers make an honest effort to stay on or beside the rubber with their back foot. Where Capps' back foot is after the pitch is ridiculous and it's not fair to the batters who are already fighting an uphill battle.
  4. Are the Padres really that stupid? It's spelled out in the f***ing rules.
  5. I really don't understand how the same people who get outraged over PED use can defend Capps. He's violating the spirit of the game and clearly cheating. Glad they finally recognize it.
  6. Come on, complaining about Capps? You knew what you were paying for.
  7. Ryan Goins, the guy who can't stick in MLB?
  8. I'd love to know the thought process that would lead you to believe he has the inherent talent. I believe #1 is: he is a blue jay. If Pillar was a Yankee or something, he probably doesn't have the talent to improve.
  9. I like Price and all, but I can't help but laugh at the utter incompetence of Dave Dumnbrowski at this point. It must be so hard to be a GM of a team where you can just throw money at all your problems.
  10. 0%. Guy is clearly not drunk, just very, very stupid.
  11. bWAR is for jabronis
  12. Probably because it leads to really stupid predictions that are destined to fail. Like, say, Kevin Pillar is going to break out because I saw him in one ST game and he looked good. You can enjoy the game however you want, but if you share it with everyone you open yourself up to ridicule.
  13. - feels the need to make a post in all caps, proclaiming a KP BREAKOUT - projects a 110 wRC+ based on the Gruber method (top secret) - unwilling to take a bet unless the mark is TWENTY PERCENT worse than his own f***ing prediction that he felt the need to make a thread about. - no one takes him seriously due to mental challenges, proceeds to take the stupid man's approach of assuming that everyone other than him is dumb. Gruber, you're a special one, man. Strap on your velcro shoes and make your mark on the world, my friend.
  14. Oop, sorry, did you prefer to go by mentally challenged? I'll make a note. I like "retarded" because it gives a more clear picture, since your brain does not age as quickly as the rest of you. I didn't mean offense by using retarded, just wanted to be specific.
  15. Surely there are better ways to make money than taking advantage of the mentally retarded.
  16. Again, I like Gibby outside of in game management but I just don't trust him to not do incredibly stupid things that go against all logic. If we had a Francona or Roberts or someone like that, I'd be more at ease. I don't want to hate Kevin Pillar, I enjoy watching him play, but the guy needs to get a f***ing clue.
  17. I wouldn't care if we had a manager that wasn't a complete dipshit when it comes to lineup construction, but there's a real chance that Gibby will listen to Pillar.
  18. He didn't get off to the START he wanted to? He was terrible all year long. This guy is f***ing delusional. I mean, seriously, it's about time someone on the team sat him down and said "look, Kevin, we value your impact as a player overall but hitting is not your strong suit. You need to realize that you're never going to be leadoff material." I'm tired of hearing this f***ing idiot talk himself up as a leadoff hitter every spring. He doesn't make an exceptional amount of contact, doesn't have much power, walks at an Arencibian rate and isn't really a prolific base stealer anyway. Not sure what he's looking at that screams "I should hit leadoff". Just shut the f*** up and accept that you're just not a very good hitter.
  19. Ftfy. Also, for awhile in BBDL, connorp had literally no farm at all.
  20. Benintendi, Crawford, Pearce, plus a pick for just Tulowitzki. But anyway, Steamer fapfapfap Also, more valuable: Tulowitzki or Steve Pearce? Pearce probably carries 2b while in Toronto as well as 1B and OF, is a better hitter and on the same team in the same park.
  21. God bless Chris Mitchell. I don't care how many people hate KATOH, it always has a special place in my heart.
