I had a dream last night that Ezequiel Carrera tried to score from second by running directly to home over the pitcher's mound. Then he got tagged out and had that stupid "oh man, I f***ed up" face. It felt so real. -
Bogaerts at 2nd, Devers at first. Bogaerts bluffed to third, so Devers went for second, not realizing Bogaerts actually didn't go. Then Lopez throws to second where Devers arrives and Bogaerts was kind caught inbetween 2nd and 3rd. Refsnyder makes one of his patented shitball throws, it sails wide of the bag and Bogaerts slides in safe. The inning proceeds to go to s***.

I don't understand why Gibby has no qualms about playing Ref at 2B, and he's terrible, but would rather go Goins/Barney over just putting Pearce there. I would almost guarantee that Steve is a better 2B than Refsnyder.

Damn, there is a lot of crap in the AL. The Orioles might make the playoffs while being barely over .500. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are conservatively projected to win 110 games. Holy f***.

My #1 take here is that they need to find a permanent replacement for Travis. His injury problems are chronic and he'll play maybe 40 games before hurting himself and we are treated to the Goins and Barney show. Trade JD. Dunno what you'd get but I'm sure someone will pay a shitload. Find a way to get Reagins a GM job and make him take Tulo. Man, I was so excited when he came here but he's a meagre shadow of what he once was. I think we need to start gearing up for when Bo and Vlad are here. The Yankees are a good example, I think, of the direction we should go.

I'd put the odds of Donaldson agreeing to something like that somewhere close to 0%. I also don't see why the other team would pay extra for this window. Wouldn't they have the entire year to work something out with him?

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/giancarlo-stantons-shot-at-74/ Stanton seems like a bit of a dummy. Sure, McGwire, Sosa and Bonds were on PEDs, but Stanton is playing with juiced up balls. If their records don't count, Stanton's shouldn't either.

I feel like JFL has the strongest resume here. He'd be my first choice, but certainly a great crop to choose from. I also don't feel like it's fair to the candidates in question or the league to simply randomize it. Removing Gibbers was a big change that required league approval and given our very good retention rate, I think this is also a very important choice. I dunno about a league vote because that could get annoying and might be a lengthy process, but there should be some type of criteria and points system. For example, Org gets points for being co-managers with King and not offing himself. JFL gets points for his rich board involvement and the DFS contest. L54 gets points for banging a former teacher of a certain board troll. And so on.

I don't think you can stop these when they happen. There was a little "hacker" group called lulz sec or something a few years ago that took down the entire eve online website and game for almost a week via this same kind of attack. You basically have to hope they get bored and move on.

His fastball velo alone would get him past 11%, I'd think. When Jake McGee was good, he was getting 12-13% with pretty much just fastball and Chapman throws harder than that. Probably SSS variance, I'd bet. Relievers...
