This is still so annoying and kinda degrading tbh. What, we won't buy the game unless there's a Blue Jay on it? I'd much rather have the Judge cover. "Canadians are really petty and shallow, just slap a Blue Jay on the cover or they won't recognize the player on the box."

Not quite that simple imo. If Vlad is destroying AAA and the Jays are in contention, I think they definitely call him up. Knowing our fragile middle infield, I wonder if when Tulo gets injured, do they move JD to SS and Vlad to 3B?

No doubt, but he's not going to have a .400 BABIP in the bigs. Honestly, him becoming an average player would be a pretty decent outcome and I don't mean to kill any vibes. Vlad will probably be a HOFer though. I haven't been as excited for a Jays prospect since Travis Snider.

I dunno, I have always hated guys with the Jimenez profile. He appears to be a bit of a hacker and his BABIP fueling much of his success has me a bit worried. He seems kinda like a Starlin Castro type when he was a big prospect but maybe with less hit and more power and those kinda guys seem prone to having s***** seasons because they hardly ever walk. Meanwhile, Vlad hardly ever strikes out and walks at an absurd clip. So even when the balls aren't bouncing his way, he still gets on base. Kinda concerned about the same thing in regards to Bichette. I always worry that high BABIPs can apply unreasonable expectations on prospects.

Brandon McCarthy probably wouldn't cost us too much and is likely better than Cobb.

Not sure, afaik their projection was just based on their college stats.

Bo Bichette's floor is a AAAA guy who is out of baseball at 25. Healthy Devon Travis with more pop is probably a 4 win player yearly. No prospect has a floor like that.

I'm not a huge Jays prospect homer usually, but Vlad's profile looks far better than Jimenez's. Pretty rare to have an 18 year old putting up godly numbers against older competition while walking more than striking out.

Hell, I'd rather have Martin playing 2B instead of Goins/Barney. If you use Martin as a utility guy there could be lots of catcher starts available.

I'd rather bring back Brandon Morrow than throw that money at Watson, even if Morrow is more expensive. Also, just fireballing, but what about some kind of three way where we end up with Stanton + a couple of prospects for Donaldson?
