Well, technically slow and retarded mean pretty much the same thing, and it sure did come across that he was slow to realize that speculating on Braden's baseball career at this juncture was a bit in poor taste. So I mean...Spanky was kind of on point, he was just being a giant ******* in the process. -
I think he's earned the right to have an ego when it comes to defense. I would rather move Cain than Pillar. That outfield would give us some flexibility too. All of a sudden, Pearce in left isn't as bad because Pillar can shade LF more. Idk though. I'm excited to see what Atkins can do this winter. I honestly feel like we have a good shot at landing Otani.

We were also pretty much the only team during his tenure that reliably failed to sign one or a few of our top draftees almost every year.

So a stud in Vlad (and let's be honest, international signings are a crapshoot so thank jesus we lucked out), Alford, who looks like he'll be a fringe starter if we're lucky, and a bunch of crap. Pretty sure any team can hold a claim to that kind of talent. Generous. I count 5.

If Holland gets 3/45, I will roundly mock the team that signed him. Pretty much every team has a few older guys on the farm who could come in and do as well as or better than Holland for league min. Idk who would actually be dumb enough to sign Holland at that pricetag, though.

Well, we have a FO that would likely buy in to letting Otani pitch and hit, plus he can't really be worse than Morales anyway so seems like a decent fit here.
