    Only time will tell, but I think there is justification for putting pressure on powerful influencers aka owners and sponsors to push change forward. Colored people have been protesting for decades with little to no change, perhaps hitting the pocket books and disrupting the past time of North America will move things along.

    This is the first player boycott in my lifetime so I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about.

    We are talking about it now, aren't we? That is the first step, the second and most important step is to pressure the owners, media and sponsors to flex their influence to inact change. By postponing even one or two days worth of games the players are creating pressure to do just that.

    Hopefully the NHL follows suit, for a day at least the focus should be on racial injustice and not sports.

    It is never too late to take a stand against racism.

    The depth on this team sucks. We are running out a handful of replacement level players or worse every night with these injuries.

    I'm pretty sure anyone can be traded, they just have to be listed as PTBNL if they are off the 60.

    When you have gas can stuff like Gaviglio you at least have to be able to throw strikes ffs.

    Agreed, too many guys on this team that can't get on base. They probably should have added two more bats nevermind one.

    Did I delete it? I tried to edit it and then it disappeared so I thought it was deleted by a mod. If it was me I apologize, but yeah he is a family friend and has told me directly that he would enjoy playing here if it ever worked out that way.

    Apparently I cant say without the post being deleted, so let's just say I have a good feeling that he would be open to it if the dollars made cents.

    I think it's tough to ask any player to move off of a premium position in their contract year. Particularly when defense at SS is their primary selling point on the open market. That said, if the Jays traded for him he wouldn't really have a choice for this season.

    I want to believe the front office views upgrading the offense as a priority, but it seems every time they are pressed on areas they want to improve it is the rotation that gets all of the focus.

    I know for a fact that he would be open to playing here longer term as well, but only if he is the SS. I doubt he will lower his market value by playing 3B when he is still a capable defensive SS.

    I'm very relaxed and not at all writing off Vlad, but there have been some concerning trends with him that date back to last season. Groundball rate is one and I'd argue strike zone recognition is another.

    It's concerning that up 3-0 Vlad thought it was a good idea to swing at two borderline pitches at the bottom of the zone. There is very little to like about his game right now.

    Yet another reason why you should manage every game to win and not manage the bullpen like f***toyo.

    Keep up the good work with the podcast, I find all of you very entertaining and insightful.

    I don't understand why you have to take a shot at their podcast. They do the best they can and it's actually very good for a relatively young show. They have also never pretended to be pro scouts, unlike yourself.

    I'm not sure what you misunderstood. Wieters let a ball get away from him, but managed to throw out Odor at 2nd anyways.

    It was 1-0, and the ball was thrown in the dirt and got away from Wieters. Odor made the right decision unfortunately Wieters threw a laser beam to 2nd while off balance.

    I'd be interested, he was effective against righties too last year which is a plus.
