Also could a fielder come in..... stand 3 feet away from the batter, between the batter and the pitcher, as to obstruct the batters view of the pitch and then just jump out way as the pitch comes in, thus giving the batter almost no time to react?
Is the catcher allowed to stand out in the infield and be like a 6th infielder? And just let pass balls go by if there is no one on base and less then 2 strikes?
Small sample, but yes. Last night Rogers got a bunch of calls out if the zone. Can't say JPAis responsible... But I do t think you can say he's a horrid reciever either.
MB himself spoke about how well his game calling has been. I listen to the JPA haters as much as anyone else... But you have to give credit where credit is due.
If there was no "r" in his last name I would be all for it... He would fit in perfectly with out rotation. But unfortunately there is an "r" so he has to be out.
His game calling has been excellent over the past couple of weeks. When Rogers gave up his last homerun... He did so because he shook off JPA. He's been fine with MB.
I love some of the regular callers.. There is one suck hole who sounds like his nose is plugged... Peter from St. Catherine's is pretty good too... Hasn't called everyday like previous years.
