  1. If I had to listen to the losers that call that show I'd flip on them non stop too. Of course he loves the suck up. I never called before.... I almost did earlier in the year to tell him to shut the f*** up with the defending of Mark Buehrle. I just couldn;t see how Buehrle could ever be an effective pitcher again..... and Mike constantly defended the guy..... He was right... glad I didn't call.
  2. You radiate with such negativity... it effects the team.
  3. It seems the farm is in a better position now then at the first of the year.
  4. I was joking about the options part... he's been in the league 100 years... but no. You deal from a position of strength to fill holes elsewhere. I think he could be a great piece for a trade.
  5. You deal out of a position of strength. The pen is a position of strength. Janssen Cecil Delabar Loup Wagner McGowan That's 6 guys right there that you keep ahead of Oliver. McGowan is off right now... but he is only going to get better and personally I think has the most upside in the pen.... he'll shake off the rust and be very good if his arm doesn't explode. Either way if he is healthy they aren't exposing D-Mac over Oliver. For the 7th spot you have Oliver, Perez, Stillson, Lincoln, Carreno... and Santos if he can ever get healthy. Oliver is good. He is a calming presence, does command respect and probably provides intangibles out there...... but he's still 43 and expendable.
  6. I would trade him if we are not in the race. I don't know if he's even the 6th option now... he would probably be on the bubble if they had to make a decision now on who to send down if they moved to a 7 man pen. I wonder if Oliver still has options.
  7. You know. Ever since someone posted that pitch framing article that showed JPA as one of the best framers in the game, he hasn't bothered me near as much.... Of course he's not one of the best framers in the game.... but I just assumed he was the worst... and lately since the pitching has picked up... he hasn't bothered me much either.... Hopefully the organization brings someone in to help coach JPA and make hima better catcher... and Mattola works with him to make him a more patient and consistent hitter.
  8. No... But if you need to dial up the offense a notch... You can play him there with your fingers crossed.
  9. Get him on the Velocity training program.
  10. He's too old. Come one. I'm voting for Negrych!!
  11. If he was to regrade Andy Burns, what would you suspect it would be.
  12. Ace. If you had to pick a player in that 20-50 range (including the others) to jump out of that pack and establish himself as a MLB player who would it be?
  13. Geeze you forgot Jim Negrych. Both D-Mac and Ortiz have already graduated so... you can't use them.
  14. Which makes it funnier that he actually looks like Ramon Ortiz... He's the Lebron James of baseball.
  15. Of course there are. Tonnes of people want to brag about how much they hate AA and how much they hated the trades... blah, blah, blah.... So they want the team to lose.
  16. I think you can do both. As crazy at it sounds, you might be able to get something for Janssen, that can help them more then it hurts.
  17. I think most people are... I'll be happy if they can make it interesting... especially with the start.
  18. I wouldn't say that at all. Not saying they are right... But if the team plays well and makes the playoffs, no one wants AA fired.... Except a small minority of spreadsheet warriors... who behind a computer screen are absolutely positive they can build the St. Louis Cardinals.... Like it's just that easy.
  19. Ok... so what everyone is telling me is that he is the next Buster Posey. Awesome.
  20. Thanks. I'm trying to compare him to Travis D'Arnaud. I'm looking at their 21 yr old seasons where they both spent in Dunedin. TDA ops'd .726 in 2010 as a 21 year old and AJ ops'd .770 in 2011. Bother were one of the better catchers in the league (offensively) during their years there. I would love it if he turned out better the TDA.
  21. Small sample size, but he is really hammering the ball for the Fishercats. I don't think JPA can be depended on to be a catcher long term on this team. So I ask... What about Jimenez? A small sample size doesn't tell me much and last year he was hurt most of the year..... There are others that know prospects far better then I, so I want to know what the experts are saying. How is his defense? Could he be a potential September call up? Thanks.
  22. I would be looking to trade Jannsen. He's out best pitcher, but I think he brings the biggest return.
