    I think I would be more confident in Romero if I heard he would stop pitching now and spend the next 8 months on the Delabar program... Don't ask me why.

    I was listening to the Lansing broadcast today and there was a tonne of love for Emilio Guerrero. Is he a legit prospect? Numbers sure don't stand out... but 6'4" and 190 means there is a tonne of filling out to do. Lots of limbs right now.

    Oh... either am I. If you had to put money down you would have to guess that Ackley doesn't meet his potential..... but it could be a gamble willing to take. Especially at 2nd base. I would also say the risk isn't huge... because Gose probably wouldn't be much better then Rasmus.

    Ok. I got another one. Anthony Gose & Emilio Bonifacio to Seattle for Dustin Ackley. We cross our fingers and pray he can reach his potential and they get a better center fielder... I'm not sure why they would want Boni.... just no need for him.

    Listen... we only operate in hindsight here on the Jays board. We missed Darvish... and should have got Chris Davis too.

    For the Braves they would be selling high on Gattis. Like Angrioter said..... Gattis could very well be another JPA type player. Gose could still be a stud. Allows the Braves to get out of an awful contract. Use the savings to re-sign Mccann. So basically the Braves are betting on Gose to provide what Upton does now but at a lot cheaper price and the ability to resign Mccann..... and that they don't get burnt by selling Gattis. Blue Jays are hoping the small sample size is no fluke and get a solution at the catching position. The gamble is very costly for the Jays... as you would eat about 25 million just to trade him.

    Ok. Would Atlanta do this trade? JP Arencebia and Anthony Gose to Atlanta for Evan Gattis and BJ Upton. I find that trade intriguing. Atlanta never does JPA for Gattis straight up. Atlanta has Upton under a bad contract. Anthony Gose is cheap and could probably provide Atlanta with what Upton is providing now. Gattis has no track record and could quickly flop... or he could become an allstar. It would be an interesting trade proposal. We would quickly flip Upton to some other team (taking on money required) and maybe get a B prospect in return.

    I think it's what you do as well. We are talking about trying to slip him past waivers. If we are going to lose him... might as well do it our way.... by blowing out his arm trying to make him a a starter. I say go for it.

    I love that. To me hitting is bonus with a catcher. If you can be a great defensive catcher... With just an average bat.... That's great in my books.
