  1. I think they are important. But I would agree..... they are overrated.
  2. Pillar with another double. 1-2 Count. Changed his approach, stayed with the ball and simply stroked it down the line to the opposite filed for the double..... It's two bad he didn't swing for the fences and get the K... because we all know going for that power approach is the way to go, SO's be damned.
  3. Umps made him go back to first because he has no power.
  4. Does Matt Harvey post on here? ..... Jesus... I just looked up his twitter.... holy f***.... tweeted something like 200 times yesterday.
  5. If we could have won 4 of the last 5, against the 2 hottest teams in baseball, why would such a team require a blow up? It's been like this most of the year. Just needs tinkering... some major tinkering.... but tinkering.
  6. We are doing our best to draft him again. What would happen btw? Could he turn us down and be a free agent if we did draft him?
  7. I liked the game.... really we could have won 5 of the last 7... or what ever the streak is. We are not going to win this year, so might as well finish last.... better draft position and better signing bonus pool for the IF market next year. Playoffs or last, that's all I want.
  8. f*** there are some stupid ****s on this board. What manager makes Ricky Romero, Brandon Morrow, Josh Johnson and whoever else into good starters? None... no one. John Farrell sucked last year as manager... give him a good team and he's doing great. Holy f*** people are stupid.
  9. f*** people are stupid. Our starting pitching sucks..... absolutely sucks. No manager could win with that SP.
  10. Come on now.... he didn't get hit in the head. He's 38, had a very good career. It's a leg injury, it will heal. He made 100 million in his career. If you gave that to me, you could do that to both my ankles, kick me in the nads, give me two titty twisters, a wet earnie (with peanut butter)....... and I would be carted off the field with the biggest smile you've ever seen.
  11. Well.... You learn something new everyday.
  12. Not Delabar. We can't let him go anywhere else and let the velocity program out of the bag more then it already is.
  13. Gibbons manages a pen better then almost any manager I have ever seen.. Quit pretending you know what you are talking about.
  14. They should let them pitch in the Kumite over in Japan.
  15. I don't think it was ugly. We're out of it this year. So I'd take this kind of loss for the rest of the year. Lawrie was good. JPA was the best he's been in a month or two.... Colby good. Lots of positives... bad pitching lost the game.
  16. Yes.... we wouldn't want to have a guy that could hit on the team.
  17. Really? What do you do? Are there only a few hundred people in the world that can do what you do?
  18. Both should get a start or two after mid September.
  19. The article btw was pretty awesome. I would watch that tournament on TV.
  20. Actually what I took out of the article was this. Velocity training program anyone? I also chuckled at the thought of Dustin McGowan pitching in such a tournament. Could you imagine him throwing 800 pitches in a week?
