    The team is 7-19 in games where Cecil pitches this year. He's essentially a garbage time/long reliever guy. Unless they have plans to put him into more high leverage situations then it's a no brainer to use him as a starter for the immediate future.

    Threads like these are always hilarious to read a few years down the road. People have maybe seen some of these guys play once or twice and they act like experts. It's a complete crapshoot. Almost pointless to even pay attention.

    He's actually a good guy. He mailed me a DVD copy of the 92-93 WS highlight pacakage before. He just put a lot of work into his site and feels slighted a bit I guess. SEems a little over the top though.

    But yeah, Melky is so overrated by some of our fans because he's one of the few who can hit for a passable average. His defense sucks, he can't run, and his power is non-existant. He looks like a fringe starter this year. The juice obviously helped him significantly.

    It's an incredibly small sample but Melky has been significantly better vs RHP this year. Perhaps a strict platoon with Davis is in the works.
