Ok, let's just say that it "somewhat salvages" the offseason. Obviously not trading some of the pen depth and upgrading 2B's are still big failures.

Not really. He's green and his ceiling isn't as high as previously thought... but he should still be getting playing time. It's absurd that he's barely even getting 20 MPG.

All of these "sources" saying that we made an offer. I won't believe it until I see it. We've been fed this horseshit multiple times during the AA regime and it's almost always turned out to be untrue.

Signing Santana to a reasonable 1 year deal would give us a productive offseason. Didn't upgrade at 2B but we still would've upgraded at C and SP. PLEASE get this done.

JV with 15 points on 7-9 shooting in limited minutes. Man WTF. He still has work to do but he's still playing well.

Great win tonight but it's really annoying to see Casey go away from JV AGAIN. He was still +9 while he was on the floor tonight. He wasn't killing them. As I say this he makes Cousins his bitch down low. Give the kid 30 minutes every night.

What's the depth chart look like? Dickey Buehrle Morrow Happ Redmond Rogers McGowan Hutch Nolin Stroman Store Rogers and McGowan in the pen to start the year and give them a look if Happ/Redmond gascan. Hutch is obviously the first callup if Rogers and McGowan s*** the bed. We'd be much better served in seeing what we've got with Nolin before giving Stroman a look IMO. Nolin has progressed very well through the system. Let Stroman dominate in Buffalo and reward him with a callup in June-July. A lot of people seem to forget about Nolin. Might not be a 1 or 2 but could definitely develop into a solid back-end guy. Time to see what we've got with him. -
