    Projected WAR for Lawrie looks low? I see that combination of offense and defense at closer to 4, not 2.6.

    at the time the debate over best defensive shortstop was between Vizquel and Alomar..... most will say Vizquel was better, but not by much.... and Vizquel is considered one of the best defensive 2B ever at the plate and on the basepaths, it was no contest - Alomar was the best offensive 2B in the game for many years a rare 5 tool 2B

    C'mon we know Rogers will give the direction to cut losses, blow it up and rebuild if the Jays are out of it at the break. Bye to Bautista, Dickey, Reyes, Melky, and others and not a moment too soon. If Steamer predicts 85 wins by effectively the same bunch, and 74 wins in 2013, and assuming due to injuries the 2013 total is 1 standard deviation from the mean (19% chance), then there is a 19% chance the jays will 96 games, if the Steamer projection is correct.

    Can never be sure but so much has to go right. No. 1 being stay healthy, an unlikely proposition for this crew.

    Last year was the worst year ever to be a non-casual Jays fan... with each loss, each injury, each weakness becoming apparent, you knew it would be a long time before they are contenders again.

    Not realistic, agree Needed: Morrow has to be healthy and have his 2012 form Stroman has to be a ROY contender Lawrie, Bautista, and Reyes have to stay healthy Rest of team repeat 2013 stats Oh: and Halladay has to strike out the side in his one game back, and be re-signed for the rest of the year
