We don't know what he will do Do you take the $30M and extend Myers and Zobrist long term, forgoing the chance to trade them for several top prospects, or....???

The take more risks is the thing.. and will get encumbered with big contracts. Shields would still be there on a big contract, no Myers and Odorizzi Right now they trade most of their stars before they get too expensive, getting top young talent in return.... this is in fact the most effective way to manage a team. With more money, more big contracts, fewer top prospects = encumbering the teams future

Most everyone is healthy at the moment, Janssen excepted.... so yes Seems like this time last year half the team was either injured, recovering, or banged up in some way
