  1. thats s***** man
  2. He's a model. That will get him points from BJMB fanboys.
  3. ya, hard to see EE going anywhere but to a team built to win now still a sizable chance he is back in TO
  4. And Sandoval and Cespedes both play a higher value position reasonably well, at time of signing anyway......
  5. Tellez the real deal bro. Look at age/level, k rate, walk rate, progression rate - everything is on point. His numbers actually improving as he has moved up through the system. Only mark against him is he is seen as a DH guy but the recent reports suggest he could play an average 1B.
  6. vlad, reid-foley, tellez, alford all defensible as #1
  7. Votto or bust
  8. Todd submitted a list. Everyone's going to be comparing their list with Todd's to see where they are wrong.
  9. Hope he's like 12th on the depth chart. Heck I would have Jon Harris ahead of him
  10. Hopefully Todd has sent in a list.
  11. Would like to see the Jays acquire a No. 5 starter, then use Liriano as a swingman. And Biagini starting in Buffalo, hopefully well and available to come up as needed.
  12. Thanks KK, wasn't aware of that. Can't imagine Shatkins giving up something of value for Bruce. Bowden has been wrong before.
  13. I trust in Shatkins. The play here may be a Liriano type trade, with the Mets throwing in a prospect or two in return for Jays taking on Bruce contract with someone like Carrera going the other way. Mets may see Bruce as a negative asset. Jays hope for a Bruce rebound in a contract year but mainly after the prospects.
  14. 2nd quote is from March 2016. Dumbass.
  15. On a related note, who pitches opening day? I say Sanchez
  16. Too many other things going on to commit. Game day decision.
  17. Sent in a non-troll list but will let you be the judge top 10 relatively easy, plenty of interesting players make the bottom 5 tough
  18. With the salary room freed up, wouldn't be surprised if a few more Liriano type moves happen, where an overpaid player and a couple of blue chip prospects come to the org
  19. Yep, San Diego is paying virtually all of it. Except for $1M i believe Looks to me like Shatkins is working to load up the farm system. Not going to be a contender in 2017, maybe a weak one. I'm Ok with this, the Jays chances without both EE and JB, and a declining Tulo and Martin, a bit slim anyway. Too many other superior teams.
  20. hey you still wanna trade Sanchez for a bag of balls?
  21. Interesting signing. Combined with Shapiro's criticism of AA's selling the farm, the prospects that came over with Liriano, it leads me to believe both EE and JB are gone for the picks. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
  22. Overpaying for free agents is a poor investment and historically not a good route to a WS win. Elite talent under control is, and the Jays are weak in that area.
  23. Every time he pitched I thought of Thor. Maybe I can finally get over the trade.
  24. Generally, signing a free agent is an overpay. You've signed him for more than any other team will. So effectively has zero trade value. It's only when a player wants to play for a certain team or certain teams and takes a discount to do it, is it not an overpay. This is likely EE's one chance to cash in big, he's not taking a discount.
