  1. I expect Grichuk was extended on the basis of unrealized upside, whereas JD, StroShow, and 100 Mile had reached their ceiling. Well, StroShow might yet find a higher gear. Extending Giles would probably reduce his trade value in the eyes of some potential trading partners, particularly those already max'ed out budget wise (Cubs come to mind).
  2. I don't see any dick bag comments.
  3. Thames is very limited defensively and is basically a platoon bat. Shaw can play 1B, 2B, 3B, and no doubt, LF.
  4. Nah, you agreed cuz (1) Mackenzie Gore is on the team, and (2) you have mentally recovered from the Wander for T-Swag debacle.
  5. What does a free agent cost vs. a prospect / player under control? Relievers are volatile, performance wise and there is 1 year left on Giles contract.
  6. Last waiver draft started March 1 7:48 am with the first pick, ended March 8 12:18 pm
  7. Damnit, I was hoping for a greenie. Welcome back, nemesis.
  8. I'm a commish. Connect the dots.
  9. Check your PMs, I sent ya something
  10. Surprised by Gardner, and where is Jose in RF. He put up more WAR than Heyward. It's a misleading chart, given that some guys played more than 1 position over the decade. For example, Nelson Cruz. I'm surprised Cruz did not accumulate more than 11.8 WAR at the DH position.

Leafs top d-man prospect Sandin with 2 goals and 2 assists against Russia in today's WJC semi.
  12. BadGuy see the last bullet.
  13. Players that are in the minors, either developing or demoted, have a green flag attached to identify them as such.
  14. Yes, I know its not the intention. This other matter is just something i'm concerned about, and if an issue needs to be addressed before the season starts. Whether the league settings allow non-green flags to sit in the minors without locking the roster. Specifically this setting: Prevent any transaction that would cause a roster to become illegal: Always
  15. I'm talking about in-season. If a green flag is promoted and loses the flag, but the owner wants to keep on the farm (and not drop a ML guy) would this lock the roster and preclude any moves, including lineup setting?
  16. I'm good with it, Hurl. One thing that might be an issue is if a prospect is promoted, and is below the threshold and the owner wants to keep on the farm, would the fact the player is no longer a green flag but is on the farm lock the roster from waiver wire pickup, for example? Or is this taken care of by league settings?
  17. With the general weakening of SP across the league, reliever value has gone up?
  18. Adell for Pearson and Graterol and pick swap
  19. Was going to ask about this. Graterol needs to be on my farm. Doesn't look like he was elevated last season.
