  1. Yikes, could go bad fast. Wouldn't be surprised if JD is M.I.A. for a good chunk of the deal.
  2. Twinkies SP still weak. Homer Bailey is SP3 and Randy Dobnak SP4? Great team otherwise.
  3. or Kris Bryant. I would bet on Kris over Arenado
  4. Ah, had forgotten about that.
  5. Blue Jays and Tigers were a great rivalry
  6. Aaron Sanchez, dude. Solely for reliever duties.
  7. And playing on plastic over concrete is not an enjoyable prospect.
  8. He's unavailable, FYI.
  9. Definitely over estimating. Jays reaching .500 this year would be a big win. Also, the attrition rate for prospects is high. Everyone knows that. It is why the more of them you have, and the better your player development program, the higher your chances of building a team like the Astros or Braves or Chisox of today.
  10. Haven't you repeatedly posted that Giles likes it in Toronto and would be open to an extension. Why then would our odds not be great?
  11. We can trade Giles now for an asset, ideally a good OF prospect. Sign Betts and Giles next year. Simple.
  12. I don't doubt it, snowflake.
  13. Nah, that's not what I wrote. Are you f***ing blind? My only expectation is we will see Pearson in BJ jersey this season.
  14. I just compared the BA profile of Pearson with the profile of Syndergaard for the year prior to his debut. Very similar writeup, virtually identical pitch mix, same fastball and changeup description. Main exception Thor's best secondary was a slurvy curveball, while Pearson's is described as a slurvy slider. They are same height and build. Here's hoping Pearson has a Thor-like debut.
  15. I guess a bit of a difference as per above post. I was thinking of Tampa Bays use of an opener for Glasnow, at least initially.
  16. That was last year. His workload will be ramped up somewhat in 2020. No need for the opener every other start business.
  17. So if Pearson comes up, he's gonna be used behind an opener, right? To manage his workload?
  18. Vlad's progression likely 3B / 1B / DH The Miguel Cabrera journey
  19. I'm more interested in the DISCIPLINE Jonn would mete out.
  20. Trade Vlad Jr eh? Who would you target?
  21. You are a bad, bad, man, Jonn.
  22. BA came out with its first 2020 draft list. Here is No. 2, including age of player as of draft day: 2 Emerson Hancock GeorgiaRHP Notes: Ht: 6-4 | Wt: 215 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Diamondbacks '17 (38) Age At Draft: 21.0438356164384
