    Reasonable price for Benintendi. Will probably return surplus value in that deal, depends on how much speed he loses in the latter half.

    Good post. Saving your bullets to address team needs at the deadline is always a good option, even though deadline deals are generally more expensive for the buyer. Jays might be wise to simply add Wacha as a dependable 5th starter, use Kikuchi as a swingman, and White as AAA depth. This would push Richards to the end of bullpen depth chart, with Pearson and others knocking on the door.

    True! Didn't consider this. The Narvaez salary is fine. The tax imposed on Cohen is really separate, and what he's doing is stupid, but its his money. More money than brains.

    I don't think moderation is simply a decision on (1) ban or (2) not ban. There were other ways to deal without resorting to the hammer, i.e., delete the post and cease and desist warning. But I defer to our esteemed mods.

    I expect pitcher health will be an issue for the Yankees as well, more so than for other teams. Yankees are a high variance team, could end up at either end of two extremes.

    Deal is not unreasonable, with Narvaez projected for 2 WAR. I guess they feel Alvarez needs another year of seasoning.

    Problem with Buck and Tabby, besides their weaknesses in the booth, is they are old. Fans 40 and under have no clue about their playing careers and don't care. In other words, the best before date for Buck and Tabby is long past.

    Hard to see the Jays retaining all of Merrifield, Espinal, and Biggio. Especially with Barger as depth in AAA. Need Espinal as 3B/SS backup, but one of Merrifield and Biggio has to be getting moved.

    Ya I expect Springer to move over to CF and KK on the bench against tough lefties at least. KK still will start at least 125 games IMO.

    I had thought there were IFA money impacts from going over the threshold. Maybe that's changed with the new CBA. Seems like more teams don't care about the threshold that much anymore.
