  1. I suspect brain injuries take a long time to fully heal. One can be symptom free in 10 days, and cleared to play, but that doesn't mean full healing. Hitting a moving target at 90+ MPH is hard.
  2. Curtis Mead gets the call, this guy could be really good, in the Muncy mold
  3. TJS for Liam Hendriks RIP?
  4. Caught the g/f with your best bud?
  5. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his club He had pretty good club speed as I recall
  6. Possibly neither
  7. So he shouldn't pay attention to what BTS says.
  8. Need names. I doubt I advised moving Bellinger for Sale.
  9. You've turned into a bloody troll.
  10. Hell of a lot of pressure on Manoah with Ryu ready to step in. His next start will show us what kind of balls he has.
  11. The + would have to be pretty significant. At this point, every contender in MLB wants Belly.
  12. Man, Ryu would be a saviour if he can come to within 75% of what he was.
  13. Belly 3-3 with a double and home run. wRC+ up to 144, K rate down to 17% This is great for baseball Many smart posters here wanted to sign him
  14. Case in point, top IFA signing from this year is doing unprecedented things for a 17 yr old: Ethan Salas, C, Padres: The top signing in the 2023 international class continues to amaze for Low-A Lake Elsinore. On Tuesday the 17-year-old backstop crushed a walkoff single in the 10th inning and hit his second triple of the season. Salas is hitting .395/.469/.791 in July with seven extra-base hits and 14 RBIs.
  15. Why not have some fun?
  16. Beginning of the year he was on some Cy Young candidate lists
  17. Of course. My point is Manoah could turn it around between now and next April.
  18. The market determines the value. In a 20 teamer, I would have no interest, unless rebuilding. 30 teamer I would give up a late 2nd for him. Manoah might be this year's Berrios of last year, though.
  19. I don't see it. Do you have evidence? Rate of success / failure is probably very similar to the MLB draft. Higher rate of success at the top end, much lower at the low end. Also for every Lane Thomas that leaves, a guy like Teoscar arrives. Blue Jays are not unique in moving players that end up being MLB contributors.
  20. CES can be a beast if he keeps the swing and miss in check How about that Francisco Alvarez guy? 19 HR in 219 AB as a rookie
  21. CES is BTS new fave player, like Belly was at one time
  22. I'd like to hear something similar from Berrios regarding last year.
  23. The other aspect is Ohtani hasn't exactly been the most durable player. The scenario where they don't trade him, and he gets hurt not long after is very real.
