  1. 458 feet but yeah
  2. The tools are off the charts
  3. You are getting leagues mixed up again. Head commish BTS will decide on a resolution.
  4. There is an issue with the settings, the waiver processing time is not set up as fixed, but variable. Not my doing. As I said in the FT chat, BTS will decide if you get ASS.
  5. Snowflake
  6. Yes, best pitcher in baseball vs. a lottery ticket..... I would make that offer
  7. 80 grade arm as well. 100 MPH throws to 1B The hit tool is the big question, but his K rate since beginning of May has been 23% coinciding with the walk rate getting up to 12-15%. He's becoming more selective.
  8. The Elly De La Cruz era starts tonight
  9. Send Manoah down to work on things, like was done with Halladay all those years ago. Run with Plesac in the interim.
  10. No I'm not. It doesn't matter about a union grievance or not. Manoah can take action on his own.
  11. Has he righted the ship this season?
  12. Except the Jays are part of MLB and had a say in the decisions made. The players though are different, they are effectively unionized staff. It's just an interesting line of thought. A comparable might be 1B being moved 15 feet further into the OF, leading to Kirk regularly getting thrown out at 1B on his liners to the OF and the end of his career. Would he have a legal case?
  13. But MLB made a change, implementing a pitch clock for business (revenue) reasons. They haven't made a change to the base paths. Other than the slightly bigger bases which are to a baserunner's benefit. Since MLB made the change for revenue reasons, and potentially Manoah will be financially harmed by it, well..... I'll let you connect the dots. Hard to establish that Manoah's struggles are due to the pitch clock change and not other reasons though.
  14. Jesus you guys it's SSS and meaningless.
  15. Yes he is. His MLB performance is not a surprise based on his MiLB results.
  16. Yes it was sarcasm, but you know what? If Manoah's MLB career goes off the rails, and it can be attributed in whole or part to the pitch clock, he might actually have a case.
  17. The new Dave Kingman. edit - after posting I looked at his career numbers. He fixed the K rate issue and had a great career actually.
  18. Yes and I think MLB needs to accommodate the guys that are overweight, with a longer pitch clock. It's the times we live in.
  19. No i wake up in the early hours due to a puppy with needs. I have regret
  20. This is being watched for obvious reasons. Stang's suggestion is sound and I appreciate that connor has agreed to no more trades with his son for the season. For next season, rather than a ban on connor sr and connor jr trades, a limit of 2 (?) trades for the season may be imposed. And subject to veto if appropriate. BTS and I haven't discussed but this will be on the off season to do list. Too many trades between the two of them creates an odour.
  21. I wasn't aware robo umps being used in AAA until reading the below in BA. Numbers are interesting, and probably similar differences across the board, not just EDLA. But there's one more complicating factor. Triple-A is using automated ball-strikes (ABS) where on Tuesday-Thursday games, all pitches are called by the computer. On Friday-Sunday, umpires call balls and strikes, but hitters, pitchers and catchers can challenge any pitch, with each team allowed three unsuccessful challenges. And one could say that most of De La Cruz's improvement has come with the ABS system. Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday (ABS) 69 PAs, 12 BBs (17.4%) 69 PAs, 18 Ks (26.1%) Friday-Saturday-Sunday (Challenge System) 75 PAs, 8 BBs (10.6%) 75 PAs, 24 Ks (32%)
  22. If Bass is gay, all the more reason to get rid of him.
