  1. Headley went to NY with baggage, but we all know what it is. He's a FA at season's end and is said to have back issues. Plus he wasn't having a very good season.
  2. Your sarcasm button needs to be turned on....
  3. Pompey 1-3 with a BB, that OBP keeps rising.
  4. Maybe they're keeping him at Dunedin because they plan on not adding him to the 40-man roster in the off season and they figure he'd be less likely to be claimed by not having pitched at AA yet. Just speculating here..
  5. Why throw money at this guy when the Jays have a full outfield for 2015...
  6. Can someone please do the honours and look at players drafted before Stroman in 2012 that, in hindsight, are looking like dumb picks?
  7. AA already made his move for "high end parts", it just so happened that he went for the wrong parts. Jays weren't in on Peavy although I do agree with the sentiment over all, especially when it comes to a guy like McCarthy.
  8. Some setbacks for the system this year with Robson and Cardona's injuries, Labourt and Tirado's demotion, Davis's struggles, Nay's powerlessness, among others. However, there are some positives that balance things out like obviously Norris and Pompey advancing to AA, but also guys like Burns coming out of his early season slump and lower levels guys like Barreto, Urena, Smoral, Castro, Jansen, Lietz, Smith, plus a few others I may be forgetting. You add guys like Pentecost, Hoffman, Reid-Foley and a couple of the other draftees and you have a decent farm again going into 2015. Not to mention guys like Osuna and Hollon coming back from injury and the system isn't nearly in as bad a shape as the doom and gloomers would want you to believe.
  9. Burnett wasn't gonna be a Blue Jay, but I get the sentiment given the circumstances. Guys like McCarthy and Headley would've helped, but I won't get into that...not with all that food to eat and so little time.
  10. What else is new with this team. They rush players back before they're ready so this is bound to happen. It's ok, get well EE so you can enjoy your off season.
  11. Same as RAD?
  12. He's not a Blue Jay, that's how.
  13. Except that Sanchez loves walks while JPA hates them...
  14. Looks like my projections were right again...
  15. See, the way it works is, one or 2 guys come back, one or 2 more go down.
  16. I stand corrected. I should've said 'most love Biggy'.
  17. Sanchez moved back to rotation....being considered as Hutchison's replacement in MLB rotation.
  18. Seriously though, the guy can't fix his issues, which he clearly does have, without pitching. I know some are up in arms, but the manager clearly asked for this since he didn't want to use him.
  19. It wasn't the same team though. Last year's expectations were partly based on JJ and Dickey being #2's or even #1's as well as relative health. Reality has set in for this year so not many expected much more than a .500 team. We'll see what happens.
  20. You gonna get killed. Everyone here loves "Gibby"...it's the only thing they and AA agree on. He's pretty much give up on his own players, so I suspect some of them have tuned him out. On the other hand, the team's missing 3 of its top 6 hitters so you can't expect much else. He's also got AA's complete trust and ear. He wanted Mottola out and Seitzer in and he got it. The Santos DFA is clearly at his request. On the other hand, I don't own the team so...
  21. Maybe B.J. Ryan can still pitch?
