  1. Gibbons should've brought in Loup to face Gregorius and Ellsbury in the 9th, just like he did on Wednesday.
  2. Hopefully, "Gibby" stops using Castro for 4-pitch outings. That was ridiculous on Wednesday.
  3. Good win after yesterday's tough loss. So Gibbons wouldn't trust Castro yesterday to face Gregorius, but today he trusted him....who knows.
  4. Gibbons on Castro after game 1: Then he brings him in tonight to face A-Rod and Drew yet didn't trust him to face Didi Gregorius. On Osuna and Castro's roles:
  5. We all knew Chris Young would PH for Gregorius, didn't we? As I said above, Ellsbury has hit Loup well in SSS, of course. I would've let Castro start the inning. To each his own.
  6. That's a different issue. The fact is that Gibbons did use Castro yet pulled him after throwing 4 pitches. I thought he wanted guys who could go multiple innings? Anyway, I just think it's over-management when you pull a guy after throwing 4 pitches. If he doesn't trust Castro against Didi Gregorius, that's self-explanatory....but wait, he trusted Castro against A-Rod and Drew....my head's itchy, gotta scratch it.
  7. Let's be honest though, the Jays were up by 2 only because of an error by McCann. Hopefully they win the seris tomorrow.
  8. Yet he brought in Castro to bail out Dickey in the 7th. He also brought in another rookie, Osuna, to bail out Cecil and keep the game close. Why didn't he bring in one of the seasoned-vetrins like Redmond or Estrada instead of Osuna? I guess your logic doesn't hold water. Also, due up were Didi Gregorius, Elssbury and Gardner. You had to know they'd pinch hit for Gregorius and Ellsbury has hit Loup well in a SSS. Anyway...
  9. Castro threw 4 pitches and was taken out. I just don't get it.
  10. could someone explain why Castro didn't start this inning after throwing only 4 pitches?
  11. I hope all of these guys that were traded do well, it would reflect well on the organization's talent evaluation/analysis.
  12. I know it's all in a SSS, but Pompey's at bats are really good and Travis has good bat-to-ball skills. Pillar looks better as well. Not talking just about this game, it's more about what I've seen from each of these guys since the beginning.
  13. Needless to say, great win. I'd love for the team to make the playoffs or at least be in the division race till the end, but overall, this team is so likable that I look forward to getting home and watching them while eating dinner.
  14. Surprised here too. I thought he could serve as depth this year at Buffalo. Don't get it.
  15. Teams may also want to insure the player they're signing to a long term contract.
  16. I'm not against having a good glove on the bench. However, who actually believes that the Jays are going to bench Reyes late in games for a better defender? This ain't happening.
  17. Isn't Lind projected for like 1 fWAR this season? Jays decided they wouldn't pick-up Lind's option so they started shopping him around and Estrada was likely the best they were offered. Do the Jays trade Happ without having Estrada as depth? I remember most sober posters at the time saying that either Happ or Estrada would have to be moved and that's what happened. Anyway...
  18. Osuna lost weight bro, no need to continue the hate.
