  1. Seitzer had some really good at bats in this game...let's hope MLB keeps letting him hit for every Blue Jays player.
  2. That's true, where would he play right. Better to keep him so he can get those savez.
  3. You forgot WS ring.
  4. It's on purpose because TB fans are the loudest in MLB.
  5. The thing is, Reyes said it was still tight in MTL, but he played through it. He also said he didn't get to test it out because he didn't get on base and didn't really have to run. Agreed that the bigger issue is the roster construction, but the fact that they keep rushing guys back from injuries is another reason to get pissed off.
  6. It's too bad for Dickey, he's a stand-up guy who goes out there and gives it all he's got, like Buehrle. It's not his fault AA went full retard and overpaid the way he did to get him.
  7. I have to think Gibbons/AA was told he was fine. The thing is, we know they rushed Lawrie last season and even Reyes wasn't 100% when he came back, you could see him limp from time to time. When do the minor league teams begin their seasons again?
  8. Pretty much. PR/marketing is a big part of why Escobar was dumped for nothing, thus making Reyes and his contract an attractive option. Marlins wanted Hech, the Jays insisted they take Escobar's contract off their hands since they had decided he had to go so finding a taker for his contract was a plus for the Jays, even if it's a great contract.
  9. I disagree. It's partly on Reyes and the rest of the blame is on the medical staff/AA/Beeston. I'm sure they wanted to have him play in MTL for marketing reasons. When you think about it, he looked really awful in those at bats.
  10. For whatever it's worth, DL'ing Reyes is the right thing to do...it's just that it should've been done last week.
  11. Come on, the issue is that 2B and middle infield depth was an issue since last year and they did nothing about it all off season.
  12. This is my thinking as well. We'll have to continue to hope and pray...
  13. He'd have to invite you to his house to take a good look at your swing. Anything's possible with the Seitzer though, so don't lose hope.
  14. I'm sure Seitzer can tweak Diaz's swing and turn him into a .300 hitter.
  15. Even if Drew is signed, you'd think he'd need a week or 2 of AB's in the minors to get his timing back. It'll be Kawasaki/Izturis/Goins for at least 15 days.
  16. If the media doesn't rip AA for this, I don't know it they ever will.
  17. This is what they should've done when he injured it, this way he might've been eligible to come back against the Yanks or early next week, but anyway...
  18. Apparently, Reyes will be placed on DL tomorrow. What a gong show AA is running, you don't mess with hamstrings.
  19. It helps when the Jays are facing one of the better pitchers in MLB and the Rays are facing a #4 type pitcher.
  20. You know what they'll say, "it's minor, he's day to day".
