  1. Shhh, facts like that don't matter...lol, let everyone have their fun, it makes them feel better.
  2. LOL, I knew everyone here would blame Sierra even though Morrow walked the leadoff guy and threw a meatball to Colabello that should've been hit out for a HR.
  3. He may not be walking, but he's consistently swinging at strikes and hitting the ball hard.
  4. Me voted for 1 game, but remember, tomorrow's game is likely to be postponed.
  5. As far as the OF goes, I saw Alfonso Soriano botch 2 plays in RF the other day and we saw Schoop gift the Jays 2 runs on Friday. The Yankees have Dean Anna at SS with Jeter out, which is probably better for them defensively, but still, lots of teams have bad players on the bench. Am I saying 3 or 4 wrongs make a right? No, but it is what it is, I'll watch the games and enjoy them without stressing myself out over things that even the great Red Sox go through.
  6. Low scoring game tonight. Hopefully the OF defense doesn't cost them too much.
  7. I'd like the bench improved, but Walden nor Jeffress have anything to do with it. They're not "clinging" to either of them, one was DFA'ed a few days into the season and the other one was with the club for a couple of days in case they need some innings. The rotation consists of 2 injury-prone guys in Morrow and McGowan and a young starter 1.5 years removed from TJS so they feel they need guys like Rogers, Redmond and Happ.
  8. Exactly my thoughts. He'll clear waivers and go to Buffalo or NH. The Jays must be doing ok on the field for this to garner such a reaction.
  9. If only they had employed a full time catching coach, JPA would be a perennial AS. And no, I can't remember hearing the term "catching coach" or at least not full time. You have the manager, the bench coach, the 1st and 3rd base coaches who also serve as infield, outfield and base running coaches, hitting coach, the pitching and bullpen coaches and that's it.
  10. Maybe they should give Thole a start at C, Kawasaki at SS, Goins at 2B and Diaz in CF...lol, imagine the freakout on this board.
  11. I'm not concerned.
  12. Some here might be obsessed with JPA. Let it go, he gone.
  13. I don't see any team giving anything to AA for guys like Rogers, Happ or Redmond when they know they're out of options or can become a free agent by refusing a minor league assignment, like Happ.
  14. If this was Toronto or Montreal, some American commentators would be saying "people live in igloos there, they shouldn't have an MLB team there!".
  15. They should rest him 2 or 3 days there, don't mess with the hammy!
  16. I remember that play, but I think he made some nice plays in that game as well. I've been watching a lot and his defense is legit. So is Goins's yet the metrics say otherwise. Who knows, but I'll go with what I see and say they're both elite defenders.
  17. It's weird. Rangers are a contending team and are giving playing time to this guy.
  18. How are Lawrie's defensive metrics looking?
  19. If a top 5 GM like Daniels liked JPA enough to give him another chance, there must be a lot of talent in that tank.
