  1. I hope that fan is ok. I think the stands behind the wall at the RC are dangerous. I always see fans reaching for homers that just fall of the stand back there and fear someone falling over trying to catch the ball.
  2. Part of the reason given by AA for going all in was to try to contend while they had Bautista and EE. I don't think EE is going anywhere.
  3. How did they blow it? And if they did, what did they blow? The thing about rebuilding is that you run the risk of prospects not panning out at all, but also not panning out at the same time. As much as it's easy to blast the Royals' F/O for trading away Myers++ for Shields and Davis, they probably decided they couldn't wait for all these hot shot prospects to hopefully put it together at the same time.
  4. Big draft coming up for AA. If he hits a couple of HR in the first couple rounds, the farm will look much better.
  5. Tha guy look like Albert Pujols or what? Either him or Angrioter.
  6. LOL, course I be joking bro!
  7. My sources also tell me that Rasmussen was hit on his pitching arm by a liner and will be re-evaluated tomorrow and Nolin was hit on the leg by a liner during a SimGame and will be out a few days.
  8. Stroman's afraid to throw his nastiest slider to him, you know the one that counts for 3 strikes. If Kratz had caught him yesterday, he would've had 12K instead of 6.
  9. If it wasn't for Navarro, Buehrle wouldn't have pitched 8 SO innings, he would've been even better, like -2ER.
  10. Rays lost their 6th in a row. I wonder how certain posters are coping with this as they seem to be MIA.
  11. My sources tell me Wagner won't be called up because he's got forearm soreness. He blew a save today for Buffalo giving up 4ER.
  12. Oh and I'm sure Hendriks will get another chance to start, he's not that old and could get a chance to make it as a spot starter/long reliever.
  13. I expected them to send Stroman back down, but I'm glad they made the right move.
  14. I don't know, gotta give him credit for getting Francisco and Tolleson. And if you think this is all Gibby, you also have to think Goins is Gibby a big part since Seitzer is his buddy and they thought they could get him to hit better. Over all, what you can do is give them both credit for maximizing the roster they have put together. We'll see how it plays out.
  15. Hiring EE as super scout and signing Francisco.
  16. Bedard vs Lester today so things aren't looking any better for the Rays. I know I'm rooting for the Rays today.
  17. This is pretty much why I was against putting him in the bullpen in the first call up. It's not like they have this great starting rotation where there's hardly room for a rookie pitcher to take one of the spots. Other than their best and most ready pitching prospect, they have Happ who's a 5th starter and no more and Hendriks who's a AAAA pitcher or maybe better suited for long relief/spot starts. Anyway, I just don't like the way they've handled him.
  18. Happ will not be skipped. I don't even think Hendriks getss skipped. I also doubt Stroman stays with the MLB club for now.
  19. Oh absolutely and I don't think many teams are ready to sell just yet. The Royals aren't trading Shields in June, I think they're hoping they can go on a run. Just one example. People talk about the AL East being weak, but I don't see it as being any weaker than the Central. The West is probably stronger, but many who are now calling the East weak picked the Rays and Red Sox to be pretty darn good so now that the Jays are leading it, it's all of a sudden a weak division. My point is that there's some parity and this means not many teams will give up on the playoffs this early, especially now with the extra WC.
  20. I agree, people just like to pick on certain things. To me, if he doesn't make it as an MLB pitcher, it'll be because his stuff just wasn't good enough period. It's not like tall pitchers don't get lit up.
  21. You can't empty what isn't full.
  22. Ever since I first watched Stroman pitch, I've liked his fastball command, much like Hutchison. People will always bring up his height and lack of a downward plane on his pitches because of his height, but there are plenty of tall pitchers whose fastballs get lit up so I guess they get lit up because....who knows, maybe they have too much of a downward plane on their pitches, lol. Royals aren't a great hitting team, at least not so far this year so we've gotta keep this in mind. I hope he'll be given a regular turn in the rotation, but I have my doubts given the way they've handled him.
  23. Hendriks should be optioned back to continue starting in AAA. I wouldn't understand risking to lose Redmond to keep Hendriks when Redmond has done well as the long man. Just don't bring him into high leverage spots.
  24. If it wasn't for Navarro, Stroman would've thrown 6 shutout innings with 10K. It's ok, we'll take the outing he had, now back to AAA kid.
  25. Of course I was referring to the team. I just suspect they must not be thrilled with all the roster moves, but maybe they are.
