  1. I'm not pessimistic on their chances, but I do react to the way I see them playing. When they were blowing those leads in April/early May, I said if they stuck with it, they'd turn it around because I thought they were playing good ball. Now they've been playing bad for a month and with the injuries, the bench is being exposed. I certainly hope AA doesn't get bent over in another trade, but other GM's will try to exploit the Jays' weak position. We'll see what happens.
  2. We'll see how long EE is out for, but even with him, I was afraid the team would be back at .500 by the AS break given how they've been playing. As far as trading Buehrle and Janssen, I doubt it, but if they could get a prospect or 2 for them plus the salary relief, it would be huge. I'd rather deal Dickey than Buehrle though, I would rather take his 10M plus Morrow's 9M and sign one of the top FA SP in the off season.
  3. This is worse than a losing streak, it's a month long slide as they'll be 9-18 after this game in their last 27 games. I said it before, this is looking 2013 post-streak.
  4. At least it was in June/early July and not in September.
  5. s***, I think my reverse jinxing is not working anymore, I said last week the team could be back at .500 by the AS break and it looks quite realistic now.
  6. Are Buck and Pat still kissing Seitzer's a** during broadcasts? I bet they're just giving credit to the A's
  7. Castro tonight: 5IP, 2H, 0ER, 1BB, 6K, 6GO/1FO. Updated
  8. NVM Wilner. It's a decent team when healthy and well rested, problem is, you can't expect any team to be healthy for 162 games, especially this bunch because of the history a few of them have. A solid bench gives the manager the option of resting regulars every now and then. Not saying injuries wouldn't have occurred with a proper bench, but players could've been rested a bit more.
  9. He might be, but remember, he should probably have been put on the DL after injuring his foot, but this is the Blue Jays.
  10. So AA's inability to improve the bench is hurting the team again, who could've seen this coming! The only one in the media that I remember writing about this was BNS at SN. I would think one of the other dunces who cover the team would write something about it, but nothing.
  11. Team's been on a tailspin for a month now so I'm actually not pissed, it is what it is.
  12. I never really thought they were out of it because of the 2nd WC plus the Jays have been crap for about a month now. It actually feels like 2013 post 11-gamer
  13. So it looks like I was right when I said it looked like EE suffered a leg injury.
  14. Castro so far tonight: 5IP, 2H, 0ER, 1BB, 6K. Updated
  15. I only saw it once and it looks to me like a leg injury.
  16. It's been about a month or so though. This team is in danger of a disastrous month and a half as they reach the AS break.
  17. Check for yourself here: http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=tor&tcid=mm_mlb_sitelist
  18. Castro so far tonight: 4IP, 2H, 0ER, 1BB, 5K.
  19. I'd be more concerned with the Jays catching the Rays at this point.
  20. Maybe it's been hanging out with the Jays'?
  21. So Boyd's starting tonight for NH, let's hope he does better than his first stint there. Also, Norris was supposed to pitch yesterday, but the game was rained out and now he's he's not slated to pitch tomorrow or Monday, going to Buffalo? I doubt it, maybe he warmed up before they called the game off and they'll give him a couple days off?
