  1. So what was the actual price for just Shark? It seems to me that getting Hammel as well makes the price seem less steep.
  2. Why quote Wilner when you're talking with Chappy? Utterly irrelevant.
  3. Plus we'll see how Hoffman does after TJS next year. I'd still spend some money for one of the top FA SP with the $ possibly saved on Morrow and a possible Dickey or Buehrle trade in the off season.
  4. The key being "could". I'd rather trade Dickey in the off season, sign one of the top SP in FA and go with something like: FA SP, Stroman, Hutchison, Buehrle and possibly Nolin. Hopefully, Norris continues to do well at AA and starts 2015 at Buffalo with Sanchez as depth.
  5. Jays probably can't afford Prado or Hill so Headley may be it and that's fine as long as healthy enough. I'm certainly not expecting any of the holes to be addressed in the next 27 days when they had all off season to do so, but couldn't do a thing.
  6. Beane is probably just baiting other GM's to get in on the bidding.
  7. Jenkins has barely pitched over an inning and I don't know if you've noticed, the Blue Jays aren't scoring either.
  8. Hopefully, Glenn goes all "Pillar" in the dugout and is sent down after the game.
  9. I think Gibbons may have been pissed at Cecil for walking Crisp, but I've been wrong before.
  10. It would be cool having the fattest team in MLB.
  11. I'd bet Glenn and Mastroianni don't have 50 PA's combined....although, even 40 would be too many.
  12. Been needing an IF for a while, don't think AA will finally acquire one any time soon.
  13. At this point, I miss Bonifacio more...lol.
  14. He's probably worse, but remember, Cabrera is in RF so defense gets worse at 2 spots.
  15. When you lose multiple starting players at the same time, you're going to suffer and will be hard-pressed to replace them. This is what I was referring to. Whether the Rangers were projected to be better than the Jays or not, may not be all that relevant to the point I raised, which is that the Rangers didn't have enough depth to deal with the myriad injuries they've had. In fairness, there probably isn't a team out there that could cope with the injuries they've had, but I think this also applies to the Jays last season.
  16. The rangers have experienced some of what the Jays went through in 2013 and even 2012. I guess Daniels is a moron for not having much depth.
