If Stroman ends up with the Astros, I'm buying up every share I can get my grubby little hands on. His arsenal is totally ridonk - he just needs a team with a clue to unlock his potential.
The same can be said for Trevor Bauer and the Indians. Also, the Mets seem pretty reluctant to move Syndergaard. With these three pitchers potentially off the market, that may very well render Stroman the best arm available.
Does Stroman make his start tonight, or do the Jays sit him? They could be close to a deal and wouldn't want to risk injury. At this point, Stroman making another start isn't going to move the needle one way or the other, so I legit wonder if he gets scratched.

That's a pretty nice stable of catchers right there. Probably somebody super obvious I'm forgetting, plus others.
So, am I wrong or is there usually not a flurry of activity this close to the trade deadline? Martin Maldonado and Mike Morin have changed teams...and that's about it.
Joey Murray's final line from his unofficial AA debut (pitched very briefly two days ago before being stymied by weather) tonight:
4 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 56 P-34 S
There's no way this is accurate unless McGarry is the third or fourth piece in the trade. If anything, McGarry could be a return for, like, Sogard or Hudson, but not for f***ing Marcus Stroman.
