Yes, he throws, like, 88-90 MPH, so he's not at all overpowering. He is, however, a very deceptive pitcher - hitters have a hard time picking up the ball out of his hand. I've read that he can really spin his curveball - roughly around 2700 RPM. He has a 2SFB, 4SFB, CB, and CH. Radio Scouts Podcast Thread - new episodes posted here!

BlueRocky and I recorded a prospect podcast yesterday. This idea was on a whim and was spawned from a botched recording from earlier this week where Laika, BR, and I recorded a shorthanded episode of Radio Scouts Podcast that went in the trash thanks to yours truly f***ing up the recording. Not sure yet if this will just be a one-off special or a regular feature at the website, but we're happy to have new content for you all this week. We have a brief and way-too-early discussion about the 2020 draft and who the Jays should pick if they end up with a top 5 selection, which leads into some talk about the sweeping changes that the current regime has brought to the organization from the ground up. Other subjects include Alejandro Kirk, Josh Winckowski, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (yeah, he's no longer a prospect), Hector Perez, potential returns on a Ken Giles trade, Bo Bichette, and Cavan Biggio. To each their own, but The Athletic is the absolute creamiest of the crop when it comes to sports articles. They only just recently launched their podcasts platform, so expect that to improve significantly in the near future. And it's supremely inexpensive to boot.

Twins just signed Cody Allen. Their bullpen is okay, but this is a pretty desperate move - Allen is terrible. This is the team to trade Ken Giles to. They might be willing to pay out the ass for him if it means they bolster their bullpen and acquire a clear save collector in the process. I'd be willing to toss them, like, Joe Biagini or Sam Gaviglio in the trade as well if it means the Jays can get someone like Alex Kirilloff in the deal. The Indians traded consensus top-25 prospect Francisco Mejia for Brad Hand and Adam Cimber last July, so the above trade could shake out similarly.
