Yeah, the way he inexplicably devalued the World Series trophy in that manner was egregious and indefensible. Like, what? That's the entire reason they play the game! The absurdity of his statement is incomprehensible. Justin Turner's retort to Manfred's comments was right on the money.

I'm fully expecting FG to go, like, only 30-ish players deep in the Blue Jays prospect write-up, even though BA has just named it the 6th-best farm in baseball. Since they seemingly always do the Jays in the back half of the lists and they're scrambling to get those lists released in a more timely manner, it seems like they skimp on the depth of those systems and we subsequently get deprived of an honest write-up. This annoys me.

They also gave up their top prospect in Calen Addison, future stud. The Penguins have been pretty fortunate in the last couple of years with some of their non-prospects turning into solid role players and whatnot, but they will be in for a hell of a rebuild soon if Rutherford continues to mortgage their entire future for marginal roster upgrades. Is Zucker even that good?
