  1. Your omnipresence is appreciated.
  2. You're like the all-seeing eye.
  3. Craig Edwards released an excellent series of articles this morning about prospect valuation. Using historical data from Baseball America lists as a base, the first article attempts to attach a WAR figure to each player inside the top 100 (50+ FV players) in order to determine surplus value through the first nine seasons of a career. The article explains the methodology used in more intricate detail. Spoiler alert: Vlad's prospect value is $112M - $47M higher than second-place Fernando Tatis Jr. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/an-update-to-prospect-valuation/ The second article in the series attempts to determine a value for the prospects with a future value of at least 40 but below 50. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/putting-a-dollar-value-on-prospects-outside-the-top-100/ Now that the approximate values have been established, we can move on to ranking the farm systems. Craig applies his data to each organization to determine the value of the approximately 500 40+ FV players in the minor leagues. His purpose is to come up with a ranked list of each farm, one through thirty. Spoiler alert: Toronto is 5th with a value of $298M. That's right, butt-chug a bag of dicks, Keith Law! https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/post-2018-farm-system-rankings/
  4. Can someone please remind me what the rules are in regards to picking up unowned prospects to add to Yahoo?

  8. I just want to say thanks to you guys for the support, as we've just surpassed 1000 unique listens in total.
  9. Did you just happen to see it in the one minute it was posted, or do you have access to self-deleted posts in your mod panel?
  10. Because I have a busy weekend ahead of me and won't be around to defend it lol.
  11. I hear there's a semi-blockbuster a-brewing.
  12. Okay, now we have to know which prospect it was. (or do we already know and I just missed it?)
  13. This is going to make an excellent topic for the podcast.
  14. Looks like a trade is about to be completed: Mallex Smith to the Mariners, and Mike Zunino and Guillermo Heredia to the Rays.
  15. Yeah, this can only mean good things, though I liked Hale.
  16. I read this as hot opening mouth. Carry on.
  17. Dodgers' GM Farhan Zaidi has just been named the Giants' President of Baseball Operations.

  22. We're willing to put the following prospects on the block for a #1 goalie: Aleksi Heponiemi (currently making a mockery of the Finnish Elite League as a 19-year-old) Adam Boqvist (point-per-game d-man so far for the London Knights in his first taste of NA hockey at the age of 18) Andrew Mangiapane (turning in another killer season in the AHL so far; only a matter of time before he gets the call) Ryan Donato Tristan Jarry Rasmus Asplund Adam Mascherin Josh Ho-Sang (point-per-game start for Bridgeport in the AHL so far) We would also be willing to move Pavel Buchnevich, Nikolaj Ehlers, Kyle Palmieri, and James Reimer in a deal, so lots of possibilities. Hit us up!
